I’m not one to gossip but……………After a 65-year showbusiness career, Dame Joan Collins might feel entitled to a bit of peace and quiet.
But the star has been driven out of her £3 million Central London home by nightmare neighbours whose noisy building work is making her life a misery.
She had planned to celebrate her 15th wedding anniversary with a party at her Belgravia home last night, but the disruption at the property next door, believed to be owned by wealthy Russians, has forced her to flee to a hotel.
But there are some compensations. She and husband Percy Gibson, 51, are holed up in Claridge’s, one of the capital’s most exclusive five-star hotels
Dame Joan, 83, tweeted that it was a ‘home away from home’ after staff left a celebratory cake and bottle of wine in her room. And the hotel has special meaning for the couple – as it was there they held their celebrity-studded wedding reception in 2002, joined by stars including Roger Moore, Dame Shirley Bassey and Sir Tim Rice.
Earlier this week, Dame Joan posted a picture online showing a large truck with a crane delivering scaffolding to her street, and wrote: ‘When will it stop?’
The disruption follows the collapse of her living room ceiling last month, caused by a water leak also blamed on building work.
‘We are surrounded by massive renovations to the buildings to our left, to our right, the four flats above us, and two directly opposite all at the same time.
‘The work is non-stop with endless drilling, hammering and banging for months. We’ve had a flood, and our hot water, heating, electricity, cable and internet have been cut off at various times.
‘I’ve been chased out of my own flat – the flat I have lived in for more than 20 years. I don’t begrudge the people who are moving in and making these homes their own, but not all of them are doing that.’
The house next door was bought in 2013 for £15.35 million by a firm registered in Jersey. The owners’ names aren’t listed but neighbours understand they are Russian. They are digging out the basement to create a seven-storey home with a pool, gym and ten-seat cinema. They have also bought a £5 million home behind the townhouse, which the basement will connect to.

Are Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi having marriage problems because the talk show host put their Hollywood Hills home up for sale? That’s the claim in one of this week’s new tabloids.
A so-called “source” tells OK! that de Rossi is “livid” with her wife for putting their house on the market because she “craves stability” and “doesn’t want to pack up and move every six months.” The outlet’s dubious insider adds, “She feels like Ellen’s pulled the rug out from under her.”
The magazine’s questionable source goes on to claim that the couple’s relationship is on the rocks because de Rossi “can’t take” the constant relocating and “just wants a place she can call home.” But when checked in with a reliable source close to DeGeneres, who exclusively assures us that although the couple sold their Hollywood Hills home last August, they aren’t moving yet again. We’re further told that their relationship is going strong and the claim otherwise is simply “not true.”
OK magazine was previously busted about publishing fake news, the magazine wrongly reporting that Ellen and Portia were “living apart. This latest story is equally bogus.

Never-before-seen pictures of secretly pregnant Marilyn Monroe, who confided to her close friend that her Let’s Make Love co-star Yves Montand was the baby’s father – not husband Arthur Miller!
Marilyn Monroe’s friend Frieda Hull kept the color pictures she took of Marilyn’s baby bump private but were sold as part of Frieda’s estate last year The pictures were taken in July, 1960 in New York City; Marilyn was 34 years old Marilyn and married French actor Yves Montand began working together on Let’s Make Love in February of that year and their affair began soon after.
The images were the prized possession of Hull, who worked for Pan Am and became close to the star while part of a group of fans known as the Monroe Six.
Frieda dubbed the pictures ‘the pregnant slides’ – a reference to a shocking secret the screen siren kept right up until her death.
Tony Michaels, a friend and neighbour of Frieda’s, bought the images at the ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ Marilyn Memorabilia Auction held by Julien’s Auctions in LA.
Michaels was told by Frieda that Marilyn lost the baby. ‘ It was never made clear whether that was by way of a miscarriage or even an abortion’

Claire Foy and Matt Smith who play Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, respectively, in their hit Netflix series The Crown – might end up having their roles recast.
The show’s creator Peter Morgan explained why the 32-year-old actress and the 34-year-old actor might be replaced eventually.
Peter shared that he doesn’t see the need to spend hours in makeup and/or CGI to make them appear to age as much as their real-life characters.
“I feel that when we reach 1963-64 we’ve gone as far as we can go with [Claire] without having to do silly things in terms of makeup to make her look older,” said. “We’d probably need to think about the issue of recasting everybody and so those conversations are happening now.”
“I couldn’t tell you where we’ll come out,” he added. “It’s a big thing to go on again. Everybody needs to look at one another and [ask] under which circumstances and what terms would we do it.”

Ricky Martin wants you to know that accidents do happen. And sometimes they happen onstage in front of thousands of fans.
The five-time Grammy winner was asked this week by American talk show host Kelly Ripa about the craziest thing to ever happen to him onstage while in concert.
The singer said he’s forgotten his songs and once even fell off the stage. Then there was also the time he had an accident of a different kind had a little accident. ‘I did pee-pee once on the stage,’ Martin said on Live With Kelly.
‘Things happen. It’s live. The show must go on. It’s not a decision that I made, it just happened and you keep going.. Is this too much info?’ he asked the laughing audience on Ripa’s show. ‘Things happen. It’s real.’
Martin appeared on the show to promote the start next month of his first-ever Las Vegas residency at Park Theater at Monte Carlo. ‘I have my own theater in Vegas!’ he said.
‘They offered me this big opportunity and I’m not gonna say no. Now is the time – now is perfect for me to be able to do it.’
He will start April 5 and be there until September ‘and (then) hopefully more and more and more.’
Not that this is Martin’s first time performing in Vegas. That first time was in September 1984 when he was 12 years old and a member of the band Menudo.
He’s performed there every years since then but never in the type of residency situation that has proven so popular with such artists as Celine Dion, Elton John, Britney Spears, Cher, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Shania Twain, Donny and Marie Osmond, Bette Midler and Rod Stewart, among others.

One man took a sledgehammer to Donald Trump’s Walk of Fame star in Hollywood. In cell phone video, the suspect says he wants to raise money for sexual assault victims. KCBS reporter Dave Lopez joins. I know this happened last year, but if you haven’t watched the report here it is.

Debbie Reynolds long wanted a museum to show off her vast collection of Hollywood memorabilia, but it never happened.
Now her son Todd Fisher, 58, is working on creating a mini museum to house some of her favorite pieces just two months after her death.
On Monday the Bright Lights actor told TMZ he will convert part of the singer and actress’ North Hollywood dance studio to make room for some of her collection.
Debbie died at age 84 from a stroke in December.
Her passing happened just after her daughter Carrie Fisher of Star Wars fame passed away from cardiac arrest.
Though most of her pieces like Marilyn Monroe’s white dress from The Seven Year Itch were sold off at auction, there are still plenty of things left.
Pieces from her 1952 hit film Singin’ In The Rain that co-starred Gene Kelly are still around.
And then there are the period costumes from her 1964 film The Unsinkable Molly Brown.
Also on display will be her SAG Life Achievement Award and Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
The studio in North Hollywood – which she opened in 1979 – has six rooms for dancing.
Now two of them, will be filled with her collections. Currently the space is being renovated to fit the items. But when the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures eventually opens in Los Angeles, he may send some of the pieces over there.

You may or may not know this, so in case you missed it, it’s congratulations are in order for Jason Ritter ( the late John Ritter’s son ) and kiwi actress Melanie Lynskey – they’re getting married!
The 39-year-old Two and Half Men actress announced on Hollywood Today Live that she the Parenthood actor are engaged.
Melanie shared that Jason‘s proposal took place at home and was “cute” and simple. She also shared that she was surprised with the engagement, and that she wasn’t expecting it!
Jason and Melanie have been together for almost four years after they met on the set of their 2013 comedy The Big Ask. Congrats to the happy couple!

Stephen Fry slams ‘blithering idiot’ President Donald Trump and praises Meryl Streep in BAFTA speech– its pricless!.
THE 70th annual BAFTAs ceremony took place in London last week.
And Stephen Fry kicked off the evening with a serious bang.
The star followed in the footsteps of of Meryl Streep at the Golden Globes, by referencing President Donald Trump.
Fry made a reference to the actress, saying: “One of the greatest actresses of all time.
“Only a blithering idiot would think otherwise!”
He then made a direct reference to Trump’s comments, he added: “I would say underrated to be honest.”
The host then walked over into the audience, saying: “It’s tradition for me to garner a kiss from one of the nominees.”
As he did so, the Hollywood legend placed a smooch on his cheek.
Stephen then told the audience: “Do you know. Never in the field of human conflict has my left cheek been more jealous of my right.”
And Stephen took one more swipe at the President, as he introduced the first award of the night, taking aim at his close relationship with Putin’s Russia.
He said: “Let’s find out who the Russians have decided have won.”

Award-winning actress Gillian Anderson takes on the role of Lady Edwina Mountbatten in new film Viceroy’s House. Here we explore the similarities (and differences) between the two and the parallels Anderson drew on to bring this uncompromising character to life.
Gurinder Chadha’s new film, Viceroy’s House, may be centred around the last Viceroy of India and his attempts to deliver India its independence, but perhaps the real star is his wife: Lady Edwina Mountbatten. Her boldness, progressive politics and strength are impossible to ignore against a backdrop of male dominance and subservient women.
While Hugh Bonneville is gripping as Lord Mountbatten, agonising over the Partition of India, it is Gillian Anderson’s Lady Mountbatten who captivates the audience.
Just like her on-screen character, Anderson is a woman who breaks from the status quo. Her career took off at the age of 24, when she auditioned for the role of Scully in The X-Files – a role she wanted because “for the first time in a long time, the script involved a strong, independent, intelligent woman as a lead character”.
Her instinct was right – The X-Files created a phenomenon known as “The Scully Effect”, where generations of young women were inspired to pursue careers in science, medicine and law enforcement. It was also on The X-Files that Anderson fought and succeeded in securing equal pay with her male co-star – not just in the 1990s but more recently in 2015
Over the years, Anderson, now 48, has become an activist for equality, particularly for women. She has been a long-time supporter of the Feminist Majority Foundation, works with Eve Ensler’s V-Day movement aiming to end violence against women and girls, and most recently, took part in the Women’s March, where hundreds and thousands of women across the world came together to stand up against inequality.
This March, she will publish a self-help guide for women co-written with journalist Jennifer Nadel. WE: A Manifesto for Women Everywhere she describes as “a call-out to all women around the world – and by women I include girls, transgender, anyone who identifies themselves as being intrinsically female.”
It is this belief in women’s empowerment that has undoubtedly drawn Anderson to the role of Lady Mountbatten, a woman decades ahead of her time. Unlike Anderson, she was not outspoken about her belief in women’s rights, but her stance on female empowerment was evident in her actions.
Lady Mountbatten was famous for having a string of lovers throughout her marriage – her daughter Lady Pamela Hicks estimates there were around 18 men in her life – leading her husband to eventually accept them. At one point the couple lived in a type of “ménage à quatre” where both had a long-term lover – something remarkably progressive even by today’s standards.
“She called them her ‘ginks’, a slang word for ‘guys’, and she loved the thrill of being chased by them,” wrote Lady Hicks of her mother. “She began to collect them in a way that raised many eyebrows.” Not least her ‘spiritual affair’ with India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, said to be hinted at in numerous letters between the two, and confirmed by Nehru’s niece Nayantara Pandit as well as Lady Hicks.
Beyond her colourful private life, Lady Mountbatten did a great deal of public good. She championed refugees in India and used her charm to help bring religious warring communities together in what was known as known as Operation Seduction. She worked tirelessly on behalf of St John Ambulance and the Red Cross, to the point where her daughter described her as “impervious to physical hardship”.
It is this strength that has made Lady Mountbatten into something of a female icon, and one of the reasons Anderson’s portrayal is so successful. As director Gurinder Chadha notes, Gillian “really became her, the way she would hold her head and walk in a particular way”. Though the two are very different, and from very different times, a connection is clear – making for an incredibly compelling depiction of a woman who was very much ahead of her time.

The cast of 2003′s smash hit film Love Actually is doing a reunion for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day Special airing on NBC this coming May!
Stars Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Keira knightly, Andrew Lincoln, Colin Firth, Lucia Moniz, Liam Neeson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olson, Bill Nighy, Marcus Brigstocke and Rowan Atkinson will get together for a short film, “Red Nose Day Actually,” which will air on May 25 on NBC. The short film will check in on where your favorite Love Actually characters are today.
“Over the years I’ve enjoyed doing Red Nose Day specials of TV things I’ve worked on – ‘Blackadder’, ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ and ‘Mr Bean.’
It seemed like a fun idea this year to do a special sketch based one of my films, since Red Nose Day is now in both the UK and America.
I would never have dreamt of writing a sequel to ‘Love Actually,’ but I thought it might be fun to do 10 minutes to see what everyone is now up to. Who has aged best? – I guess that’s the big question… or is it so obviously Liam?
We’ve been delighted and grateful that so many of the cast are around and able to take part – and it’ll certainly be a nostalgic moment getting back together and recreating their characters 14 years later.
We hope to make something that’ll be fun – very much in the spirit of the original film and of Red Nose Day – and which we hope will help bring lots of viewers and cash to the Red Nose Day shows,” writer/director Richard Curtis said in a statement.

George Clooney is reportedly a bit nervous about his upcoming babies with his lawyer wife Amal, but also feeling very excited!
“George is excited but nervous,” a source told the US magazine People. “He is excited about the kids, but also has the normal amount of nerves that come with being parents.”
He also “knows how brilliant Amal is in her work and how nurturing of a person she is…He knows she will be a wonderful mother.”
As to if George will be continuing his acting career or slowing down a bit for the babies, he “hinted that he might be taking some time off…That would be very rare for him, but now it all adds up. He’s going to be the best dad.”
An Amal insider added that she “strikes me as someone who’ll be a fantastic mother…Intelligent, loving, funny, smart, nurturing. She doesn’t seem someone who will let kids get away with being Hollywood children.”

Halle Berry shows off her curly hair while posing for photos at the City Summit event in Los Angeles. The 50-year-old actress opened up at the event about being married three times in the past and how she has felt guilty for causing disappointment.
“I have learned to deal with three failed marriages, which has not been easy, especially when there’s children involved,” Halle said during the Q&A (via ET ). “[As] women, we go into marriage thinking it’s going to last forever and that this is our prince on a shiny horse. That’s what fairytales taught me as a kid … and I’m kind of anti-fairytales today.”
“But we go in there with that hope, so when it falls apart it feels like a huge failure and a huge disappointment,” she added. “I’ve often felt guilty and responsible. I’ve suffered a lot of pain and anguish.”
“In every one of those situations, as hard — and sometimes embarrassing — as it was, I learned so much about myself,” Halle said. “All of those relationships were necessary for me. We all come here with lessons that we have to learn and those relationships provided me with lessons that got me to where I am right now. For that, I’m grateful. But it has been hard. It’s been a difficult part of my life.”

When Ruby Wax interviewed Donald Trump in the 90s, she thought his plans to become President were hilarious. So funny in fact, that she laughed right in his face.
But she’s revealed that her reaction left the now President of the United States furious – and he threw her off his plane. The outspoken comedian interviewed the business tycoon in the 90s for her show Ruby Wax Meets, she revealed on TV’s Good Morning Britain.
She joined him on a plane where he revealed his plans to enter politics. Unaware that Trump’s dream might one day become a reality – Ruby laughed in his face. “I was in his private jet and he told me that he wanted to be President of the United States so I started laughing,” Ruby confessed. “So he said: ‘Take the jet down’.”
“He wouldn’t speak,” she told Good Morning Britain hosts Kate Garraway and Charlotte Hawkins. “So my crew and I landed and we were stuck in Arkansas with nowhere to go.
“We ended up finding him in Nebraska judging a Miss Nebraska contest.” Criticising the President, Ruby added: “If we focused on this guy, this man is an narcissist, he’s a sick person.
I worked with Ruby several years back and I found her to be a very forceful interviewer, she never suffered fools gladly – I really liked her.
