This Week in Genesis something new is brewing over at StudioPress, a free Genesis theme to make your day (even) better, and the latest design inspiration from the Genesis community in the showcase.

Let’s get to it!

StudioPress Sites

First up this week, there’s something new brewing in the Genesis world from Rainmaker Digital: StudioPress Sites!

Details are limited at the moment, but this week, StudioPress affiliates were teased with the idea of:

an all-in-one website builder combined with the flexible power of WordPress? You get the benefits of a solution such as Squarespace, but without the inflexible feature lockdown.

Of course, Rainmaker already have their Rainmaker Platform* which includes many Genesis themes and a page builder (plus a whole suite of marketing tools), so it’s unlikely StudioPress Sites is going to ‘compete’ with that.

Instead it seems with the promise of ‘premium plugins’ and the ability to do custom coding (which is limited on the Rainmaker Platform), it feels like StudioPress Sites might be a revamped Synthesis replacement or perhaps a separate service in it’s own right.

There’s no official launch date at the moment, but expect something in the next couple of weeks.

If you’re looking for more teases though check out these threads in the Facebook group and on Slack which include a little more info from Brian Gardner (you’ll need to be a member of each forum to view the messages though).

Themes

Susanta Sahoo launches another free theme, Pristine. Like his last theme, it’s a Genesis conversion of an existing theme, Lovecraft by Anders Norén.

We're glad to launch Pristine, a #genesiswp child theme, featuring a clean/minimal layout and designed for bloggers. https://t.co/KEe0Wz4BJE

And finally…

Sending love and support to one of my very favourite people in the Genesis community and an all around awesome human being, Tonya Mork.

That’s all for this week. I’ll be back, most likely, next week with more of the same but somehow even better.

I bet you just can’t wait (neither can I). Till then, have a great week, and let’s keep Genesis awesome.
