The General Accounting Office is pleased to announce an audio conference that will be presented by the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) addressing: “From Effort to Evidence:  New Alignment for Federal, State and Local Performance to Drive Results.  During the last several years, state and regional networks have been formed to share best practices to improve program results. Federal agencies are coordinating with state and local governments to reduce costs and measure in a more outcome driven model. Outcome-focused grants are offering more flexibility for grantees to design individual programs. This web conference will drive real insight on strategies and measures for coordinated, not duplicative, government services. Some examples will be the new Federal/Local performance and resource decisions at the U.S. Justice Department, and the new Grants Guidance approaches to improving results.
