In the first three Mass Effect games, players were allowed to make several decisions that would decide certain aspects of the plot. If players made honorable decisions, their character would be a Paragon; if players took an evil path, their character would be a Renegade. Although this system worked well, many fans criticized its simplicity. In response, BioWare has decided to overhaul the entire morality system in the upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda. Many aspects of the original morality system will be altered, and the classic Paragon and Renegade paths will be removed entirely.
