Here’s an unusual opportunity for anyone passionate about introducing Buddhist values into education. Wendy Ridley from the Foundation for Developing Compassion and Wisdom (itself part of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition, FDCW and FPMT respectively) writes to say - “Please could you circulate the attached job application pack amongst your contacts. Thank you”.

* Are you inspired by the vision and mission of the Foundation for Developing Compassion and Wisdom (FDCW), to enable children, young people and adults to lead a happy and meaningful life and to be of service to others
* Are you a proven leader with a track record in building relationships and in identifying and achieving key strategic goals
* Would you enjoy working with a small dedicated team based in London and an international network of volunteers to support the development of Universal Education for Compassion and Wisdom (UECW) worldwide
* Do you have the legal right to work in the UK?

FDCW is seeking to recruit a new director to lead the organisation through its next stages of development. FDCW is an educational non-profit organisation established to promote peace in the world. The Dalai Lama is the patron of FDCW. It is an international project affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) which was established by Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa.

FDCW is dedicated to promoting UECW, an approach to inner development that enables people of all ages, cultures and traditions to lead a happy and meaningful life and to be of service to others. UECW is determinedly secular and is rooted in both Buddhist philosophy and psychology, and deeply influenced by contemporary science and the universal wisdom of the world’s philosophical, spiritual and religious traditions.

Please consider carefully whether you are the person for this role, or share this opportunity with anyone you know who might be interested.

You can download the application pack here: www.compassionandwisdom.org/get-involved/recruitment

The closing date for applications is midday 30th January 2014.
