Hi,
I am sure you are all getting loads of emails from companies about GDPR and updated Privacy Policies. We will be updating our own Privacy Policy and Terms tomorrow, along with sending emails (to those we have emails for) and posting infoboard messages about it too. So please do read those once they are sent, it is very important for you to know what the changes are.
However, I also wanted to give you an update on the forums.
We will be deleting the forums next week
The main reason for this is that to ensure we are compliant with GDPR we would need to do extensive work on the forums and the accounts behind it to be compliant. And due to the forums not being used by the vast vast majority of the players, we would rather devote that time to working on the game. As a small team we need to try and focus on what is important, and the forums would be a much lower priority than the game right now.
Some of you may be upset we are doing this, but I think if you look at the activity on the forums it is really low and can understand it would not be worth the weeks of time. We will continue to make game announcements and updates using other channels such as the in-game message board and chat. We will also be looking at using our Facebook page more in the near future too.
Thank you for your understanding, we feel this is the best way to both ensure GDPR compliance and allow the team continue to focus on the game. Speaking of which, there is some big news coming tomorrow.....so stay tuned!
