As Forum Authority continues to grow and develop, we’re looking at more and more ways to expand our forum to reach wider audiences and continue to deliver quality content to our users. Over the time that Forum Authority has been active, we’ve developed a wide array of tools to help us achieve this.
One of our more recent additions, will be the addition of our new advertising program with Forum Authority. The reason that we have introduced this is to aid with our server maintenance costs so that we can continue to grow and deliver the quality content that our members have come to expect from Forum Authority.
How the program works
At Forum Authority, we appreciate that members do not want to be inundated with ads. Because of this, we’re restricting our ad spots to one advertisement only. To begin with, this will be a single advertising banner located at the top of the site where the shout box currently is. In the future, we may explore the possibility of an ad-spot in the footer too.
The cost of the advertising banner will vary and is yet to be fully confirmed, however we’re looking at $5 / month (with a current average of 25 thousand impressions a month). This is very cheap for the spot, and the reason for this is because we want to cover the cost of our server, not make unrealistic profits from the site.
The rules
Whilst I appreciate that people don’t like being drilled with rules. We do have to have some to ensure that our visitors are kept safe, and that we operate within local law and ethical guidelines. As a result:
1. Ads should not link, nor contain:
Pornographic content
Adult content (including enlargements etc)
Medication (legal or illegal)
Warez
Nulled websites
Malicious content (virus/spyware, etc)
Gambling
Hate
Anything illegal
Users found breaking these rules may find their ads cancelled, and will not be eligible for a refund. By having an ad with us, you agree to the terms of this agreement.
2. Users should create only a single user account should they wish to create a thread with regards to their advertisement. This thread will then be archived when the advertisement expires.
3. Users are not permitted to use any form of automated posting.
