Vintage 1950s West German robin's egg blue crackle glass beads, Vintage 1970s handmade Czech Givre glass beads, Vintage German iridescent metallic glass beads
This dramatic 34" long, hand knotted necklace has been designed using all vintage German and Czech glass beads from the 1950s and 1970s. Although all the beads are vintage, this necklace has a contemporary and almost Southwestern look to it.
Asymmetrical in design, the focal points are 3 gorgeous handmade Czech glass givre style beads - clear glass with a core of bright turquoise with black banding.
The large elongated barrel shaped bead on one side measures a substantial 1 1/4" in length and 1/2" in width.
The 3 similar round beads are approximately 5/8 in diameter .
The 1950s West German glass "crackle " style beads are 10mm or a bit less than 1/2" ( there are 25mm to the inch ) and have a wonderful texture to them which is a nice contrast to the smooth look of the Czech glass beads and the vintage metallic iridescent coated vintage German glass beads.
This necklace has been hand knotted on silk cord and will arrive gift wrapped in a vintage Chinese embroidered silk brocade purse all ready for gift giving.
