JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be responsible for maintaining the BW system of the company ensuring that the BW system is available at all times. It includes the creation and monitoring of the ETL task via process chain. It includes providing support to users with an emphasis on exceptional customer service, timely escalation of issues, and responsiveness.
The role also requires close co-ordination with other IT SAP team members in implementing IT initiatives or Projects.
Responsibilities:
Provide established level of service and support of SAP BW/BI systems to ensure minimal system downtime.
Monitor and provide timely response to all incidents in the Data Warehouse, and escalate issues as appropriate
Use the tracking software to document and manage issues presented by users. Emphasis on accurate reporting to maintain quality of data for trend analysis and management reporting
Monitor SAP BW process chains (data loads), and fix issues as they arise
Preparing documentation for each and every enhancement
Involving in solving high-prioritized tickets regarding extractions, performance issues and data load failures
Working on process chains to automate the Deleting indexes, Info cubes, Process of info packages, creating indexes, ODS activation, further updating, PSA request deletion and Attribute change run so on
Involving in Unit testing, Integration testing, Regression testing and User acceptance tests
Creation and enhancement of the existing reports as per the new requirement
Monitoring the daily loads to various data targets in the system
Monitoring the process chains
Creating aggregates to improve the query response
Performance tuning of queries using aggregates, indexing of Info cubes
Designs, develops, codes, and tests complex programs for SAP modules and functions using ABAP programming language
Creates specialized reports for SAP modules using ABAP programming languages
Debugs and corrects complex SAP module problems by using ABAP programming language to implement OSS notes.
Interfaces with functional teams to ensure the proper integration of business processes and procedures with information technology and to identify customer solutions
Provides technical support to users on matters related to complex programming of SAP modules
Prepares comprehensive and thorough technical program documentation including but not limited to specifications, test conditions, test plans, and test data
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP BW/BI (SAP Certification in BW/ABAP will be a great advantage)
Strong experience in data modeling using BI 7.0 including Planning cubes, standard cubes, virtual cubes, and DSO.
Deep knowledge BW modeling, ETL process, BEx queries, performance optimization, Data load monitoring
Deep knowledge of SAP BI Content extractors from the ECC system and working knowledge of SAP structures, object dependencies and tables in version ECC 6.0 environment
Perform analysis and design; write technical specifications; configuration and programming in the SAP BW environment, including testing and implementation
Experience with extractors for SD, FI/CO, HR, MM, PS modules
Experience in reconciling ECC data with BW data
Have debugging skills and Hands on experience in SAP ABAP development
Need to have good understanding of RFC connections, basic knowledge of connecting non SAP to SAP systems.
Enhancement exp, BADI, BAPI etc

Exposure to BPC EPM10 will be a great advantage
