All the banter from this year's PlayStation Experience.

Since 2014, Sony PlayStation has been running its own annual  event that rivals the likes of E3 in terms of spectacle and turnout. Sony uses the event as a platform to hype upcoming games and hardware in the lead-up to Christmas and to make some big announcements on upcoming projects.

2015 had a massive showing, with a peek at the upcoming Final Fantasy VII remake and a return to Double Fine's Psychonauts universe with the VR title, Rhombus of Ruin.

With PlayStation VR and PlayStation 4 Pro now available, all the pieces are in place to make this the biggest keynote yet. Here's everything we already know and a few showings we're hoping for.

When and where to stream PSX 2016 in Australia

This year's event will be held from 3 to 4 December 2016 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. The first day kicks off from 10:00am and will wrap up at 10:00pm and Saturday will begin at 10:00am and finish at 6:00pm.

For Australians, the first day's events will begin Sunday 4 December at 5:00am and the second day will begin on Monday 5 December at 5:00am.

We'll embed the live stream here as soon as it becomes available, but you can bet your bottom dollar it will be available at PlayStation's YouTube channel and its official live stream page.

What we know about PSX 2016

PlayStation has already announced there will be over 100 games playable at the event and have revealed exactly 96 of those. Here's a full list of confirmed titles for PSX 2016.

We also know there are three currently unannounced panels at 12:00pm, 1:00pm and 2:00pm on the first day and three announced panels on the second day. On the Saturday you can catch Horizon Zero Dawn at 10:00am, Kinda Funny: PS I Love You XOXO at 12:00pm and Accessibility: Making Games for All Gamers at 2:00pm.

In the way of competitive events, Capcom Cup will be returning to PSX and a Call of Duty invitational event will take place.

2016's Capcom Cup will pit 32 Street Fighter V players against each other for a share in a $350,000 prize pool. The Call of Duty World League season will see 8 teams duking it out for a $20,000 prize pool.

What we want to see at PSX 2016

While plenty of games have already been announced, there are still a handful that haven't been mentioned that we're seriously hanging out for. There's also a few technical concerns we'd like to see addressed.

Where the hell is Final Fantasy VII: Remake?

We haven't heard a peep from Square Enix on the Final Fantasy VII: Remake since last year's PlayStation Experience. It was a no-show at this year's E3 (it was revealed at last year's E3), so it's about time we get some more information and (fingers crossed) a release window. To be fair, the initial announcement was only made a year ago, but we've been holding out for this ever since it was teased at the end of 2007's Crisis Core.

With Final Fantasy XV releasing this week, interest in the series will be at boiling point by the time PSX rolls around, so it's the perfect time to get fans interested in Square's next big thing.

God of Moar

Ever since Sony's E3 2016 keynote, we haven't been able to stop thinking about the The Norse Adventures of Kratos and Son (working title). It's not often such a huge game announcement is kept totally under wraps, but bearded Kratos surprised everybody when he showed up on stage earlier this year. Better yet, this wasn't just a teaser, we got nearly 10 minutes worth of gameplay footage too.

We'd totally understand if Sony wants to let this one breathe until they have enough new content and details to reveal, but we're excited to find out when we can get our hands on the angry Spartan's first PS4 outing.

Uncharted 4 single player DLC

Before Uncharted 4 even released back in May, Naughty Dog had already teased single player DLC akin to 2013's Left Behind, a standalone DLC experience for The Last of Us. We assumed that Naughty Dog would take its time at this year's PSX talking Uncharted 4: Survival (an upcoming DLC mode), but an alleged leak from a Sony insider seems to suggest we'll not only see the Uncharted 4 DLC at this year's conference, but that it will be totally playable.

It also hints that the reins have been handed over to Sam Drake (Nathan's brother) for the upcoming standalone experience and that it will be released some time early in 2017. If this is true, it pretty closely resembles the 8 month gap between The Last of Us and Left Behind.

More transparency on PS4 Pro and PSVR

So far, we've been really impressed by Sony's latest hardware releases, the PS4 Pro and PSVR. Though, it's fair to say Sony's whole approach to explaining PlayStation 4 Pro and Pro supported games left something to be desired. Even knowing which 4K television to purchase for the ultimate Pro experience is a headache and Sony themselves are only just adding Pro support to some of their 4K range.

Games compatible with Pro also aren't crystal clear on exactly what it means to "support PS4 Pro". There have been some reported cases of games actually performing worse on the Pro than on the base console.

We'd love to see Sony cut the crap and educate fans on exactly what it is they're expected to spend their money on. That and a sensible storage solution for the rat's nest that is PlayStation VR would be greatly appreciated.
