The PS4 Pro is releasing on November 10 and here are the games that will make use of the new format on day one.
As announced at September's PlayStation Meeting, Sony's mid-generation console upgrade is set to be the norm moving forward and on November 10, a considerably improved PS4 will be released in Australia for $559.95, which is $110 more than the standard PS4. The PS4 Pro offers 4K support for games and streaming media (which, of course, requires a 4K TV), twice the horsepower thanks to an upgraded x86-64 Jaguar AMD CPU with 8 Cores and a 4.2 teraflop AMD Radeon GPU, and a 1TB hard drive, as well as super-sampling, HDR and advanced anti-aliasing (which does not require a 4K TV).
But what’s a super new console without games that make use of its advanced power? So far the names of 27 games have emerged that will be built in such a way to make use of the advanced visual features offered by the improved power. 22 of these will be out at launch or within a few weeks. Some of these will have the compatibility built into the game on release, others will require a patch in order to unlock the goodness. Here are the titles to look out for:
