Super Stars sparkle at SIIMA
SIIMA 2016 fifth edition was celebrated in a spectacular manner in Singapore. Guests and movie lovers were treated to some exhilarating live
performances and even now people couldn’t forget the sparkling of stars,super stars at SIIMA awards.
Almost all south Indian stars from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industries walked on the red carpet to the rousing welcome. None other than Tollywood hot hunk Rana started the proceedings on day 1 with powerful punch dialogue and Manchu Lakshmi and Ali started entertaining viewers with their attractive anchoring.
Sandalwood stars entertained with their performances and the first day honoured talent from Telugu and Kannada films. Chiranjeevi, Khushbu, Vikram, Suhasini, Rana, Allu Arjun, Puneeth Rajkumar, Nithya Menen, and more.Huma Qureshi graced the occasion. Pragya Jaiswal,Sayesha Saigal, Pranitha Subhash and Rachita Ram performed electrifying the stage while S.Janaki was honoured with the life time achievement award. Devi Sri Prasad spellbound all with Sayesh Saigal paying tribute to Chiranjeevi with his iconic veena step and also performing medley of songs belonging to Balakrishna,Nagarjuna and Venkatesh.
Second day featured Tamil and Malayalam stars like Vikram, Nivin Pauly , Prithviraj, Nayanthara, Radhika Apte,Shiva, Sateesh, Ranjini Haridas and Dhanya etc. Hansika, Amyra Dastur, Aishwarya Rajesh and Huma Qureshi set the stage on fire while Anirudh lived the evening with his performance.

Devi Sri Prasad paid tributes to his dad singing Naannaku Premato and saying .“This is a song I wrote for my dad, and I dedicate this all those loving dads out there who made this life possible for us…“ with his voice chocking.
Sudheer Babu
Sudheer Babu after winning the South Indian Sensation of the year award said “It was always a dream for me to become an actor, and it was a bigger dream for me to go to Bollywood. So you can imag ine how I felt when some one from Bollywood actually comes looking for me, to cast me in a Hindi film. It’s like a dream within a dream. And getting an award called `sen sation of the year’ is even more sensational,“
Allu Arjun
When Anirudh dragged Allu Arjun during his musical night he delighted all by breaking into impromptu teen maar dance. This left everyone in a daze.
Rana
Rana exposed villain in his life. Rana who received award for his performance as Bhallaladeva in Baahubali from Allu Aravind said “I’m happy to receive this award from you, ‘cos you are the villain in my life.“ Then he looked at Chiranjeevi and added, amidst chuckles, “ As kids, neither Charan was scared of you nor I was scared of my dad. But both of us were terrified of him. If we bunked a class or flunked an exam, he’d get to know and ensure everyone knew about it.“
Chiranjeevi
SIIMA turnedout to be fitting tribute to Mega Star Chiranjeevi. Radhika and Suhasini delighted him with Suhasini even singing the song “Malli malli idi raani roju…“ leaving Chiru turn moist eyed. All later posted what is called as mega selfie that was clicked by Rana.
Suhasini
Suhasini surprised Ali giving strong advice saying “You guys are doing an excellent job, keeping us all entertained with your quick wit. But one request please -avoid poking fun at women and kids… that’s in bad taste.“
Akhil
Akhil was completely embarrassed by hot hunk Rana after he got award for the best debut. Even as Akhil was leaving the stage hurriedly, Rana stopped him and announced his engagement.
Their conversation left Akhil embarrassed. Here is it.
“How old are you, bangaram?“ asked Rana to a baffled Akhil, who fumbled, “Er, 22…“ An amused Rana continued, “Look at me, I’m 32 and I have not even thought of marriage yet. Look at that Bunny (Allu Arjun) over there -the day he got married, he forgot all of us his friends. Will you also forget your friends…?“ A visibly embarrassed Akhil retorted, “But you aren’t my friend, are you…?“ even as Rana broke out into peals of laughter.
