Investor’s Business Daily has reported that Blizzard Entertainment and NetEase, a Chinese online video game service, have renewed a deal that will allow Blizzard Entertainment to distribute video games in mainland China until 2020; Click here to read the entire press release. William Ding, CEO of NetEase, stated the following about his companies relationship with Blizzard Entertainment: Our partnership with Blizzard has been great these past eight years, and we are very pleased to continue our close collaboration.  We both pride ourselves with a commitment to high quality and value for our players, and that has served as a foundation for our strong alliance and positions us well for continued success. This renewal is great news for Blizzard Entertainment, especially considering that nearly 1/2 of all World of Warcraft players are Chinese; and with subscriber numbers being on the decline over the past few years, Blizzard Entertainment cannot afford to lose such valuable contributors. Apart from their work with Blizzard Entertainment, NetEase is also responsible for producing a variety of PC and Mobile games, such as: Tome of the Sun, Eternal Arena, Speedy Ninja, The Beautiful Dream, Lunar Flowers and March of Heroes; all of these games are produced by the North American branch of NetEase.
