A new region is joining Wartales in an Early Access update, adding Harag’s Marshlands which arrives today. Players will lead a band of militia through the unforgiving swamps located in Ludern. Not only cursed by disease and corruption, but these hostile lands also contain battlegrounds full of trackers, rabid animals and unrelenting monsters.
As you head deeper into the area, you will come across a forsaken village that when disturbed will unleash hordes of plague-ridden wanderers. But while there is definitely risk to roaming these lands, there are also plenty of opportunities as it is also home to sellsword’s resources, the possibility to tame and train animals through specialised skill trees. Expand your skills and advance your infantry to the max progression cap of level 9.
The Harag’s Marshlands
In case you missed it Wartales is developed by Shiro Games, the same developer behind Evoland and Northgard. Tasked with putting a motley crew of sellswords and mercenaries, you will undertake the right job for the right price. Customise your party members, including their stats, equipment, and class specialisation, while you face the onslaught of monstrous creatures and fight brigands that lurk by the roadside.
Wartales is currently available through Early Access on PC via Steam for $34.99 USD. You can access the update for free for those who own the game.
