ROBBERY: Centrewood Drive/Old Centreville Road. 9/13/16, 10:58 p.m. A 25-year-old man was riding his bicycle on a path adjacent to Old Centreville Road. As he approached the intersection of Centrewood Drive, a man jumped out from the wood line, displayed a knife and demanded money from the cyclist. The victim fought off his attacker and rode his bicycle away. He was not injured. The suspect was described as black, 20-30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black turtleneck, black pants and a black cloth partially covering his face.

BURGLARY: 6300 block of 10th St. 9/13/16, 10:23 p.m. A homeowner reported that someone entered the home and removed property. Two suspects were described as black males in their early to mid-20s.

FRANCONIA DISTRICT STATION

ROBBERY: 7500 block of Ashby Lane. 9/13/16, 10:08 p.m. A 61-year-old man was followed into his building by an unknown male. Once inside, the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and his cell phone. He was not injured. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt and long pants.

WEST SPRINGFIELD DISTRICT STATION

FAIR OAKS DISTRICT STATION

BURGLARY: 4700 block of Great Heron Circle. 9/13/16, 3:24 a.m. Officers responded for the report of two men looking into cars. Once on scene officers located the two suspects who fled on foot upon seeing police. The two were apprehended a short time later. Evidence/property was recovered from several crime scenes in the neighborhood indicating that they had entered a garage and several vehicles. 31-year-old Darren Johnson and 27-year-old Lonnie Dawes, both from Woodbridge, were charged with burglary, possession of narcotics, grand larceny, petit larceny and vehicle trespass. The investigation is ongoing. Arrest photographs were not available at the time of this posting.
