Dr. Fredric Brandt was a pioneer and a visionary the field of cosmetic dermatology. As such, he was constantly called upon to provide his expertise in research, treatment and diagnosis regarding all issues of dermatology. Beyond this contribution to his field, Dr. Brandt published numerous professional papers, conducted in-depth industry-wide research programs, was a board-certified member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Dermatology, and held memberships in numerous prestigious organizations such as the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery, International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons, American Medical Association, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Dermatology Foundation Leaders Society and the Florida Medical Association, among others.

Dr. Brandt’s love of skincare started at Sloan-Kettering where he specialized in the research and treatment of leukemia. There he dedicated his studies to using natural elements to fight against the growth of cancer. Green tea, vitamin A and vitamin C became studied treatments under Dr. Brandt’s expert eye, and would be the basis of his future skincare line. dr. brandt® skincare came to combine modern science with traditional Eastern botanicals; its custom formulations are created to achieve and maintain radiant, glowing skin regardless of age or condition.

Dr. Brandt saw himself as a physician, but also as an artist, as he helped patients achieve a younger visage through a variety of non-invasive procedures, many of which he pioneered or perfected himself.

With practices in both Miami and New York City, Dr. Brandt saw more than 40 patients a day. Patients relied on Dr. Brandt for the resolution of medical concerns, but also for his innovations in the realm of in-office procedures.

More importantly than all of that, he was also an incredibly nice and approachable man who was loved by his celebrity and society clients, as well as by non-celebrity patients and people from various walks of life. He is greatly missed.

It is with great pride then that dr. brandt skincare® announces the launch of The Dr. Brandt Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in partnership with The Miami Foundation, to commemorate and preserve the legacy of the company’s trailblazing founder. The Foundation’s first campaign, #plumpupthevolume, has been created to foster a national dialogue concerning issues of mental health and well-being; funding research for suicide prevention, raising awareness about depression and supporting programs that improve overall mental health and provide insight and support to individuals affected by mood disorders, and their families.

According to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), one person dies by suicide in the U.S. every 13 minutes, leading to more than 40,000 deaths a year. The AFSP’s core focus is to promote awareness, prevention, understanding and hope to reverse this upward trend and save lives. Working in conjunction with the AFSP, the Dr. Brandt Foundation will aid its efforts in research, education and advocacy.

Join In The Fight! Take part in the dr. Brandt® #plumpupthevolume campaign. This nationwide movement is a call-to-action platform that invites Instagrammers everywhere to share their enthusiasm for life and positive thoughts that can motivate others.
