Ed Storey worked as an engineer for GM. He has lived in Rochester, El Paso and Beijing before moving to Falcon. He has been working on his family tree for about 12 years and occasionally writes for magazines about genealogy. His areas of study are England, Germany, India, St Helena and New Jersey. He lives with his wife, Nancy of 45 years.

Finding Grandma covers some of the areas that can help find maiden names of ancestors, both in the US and overseas. We will talk about the quality of data and the danger of relying on a single source. Primarily, examples will be used to show how & where information can be found. Many of the examples are available free on the internet, either at home, at the library or at a Family History Center. We will talk a little about how to work with others around the world who might have expertise or could even be searching for the same family. Genealogy is a study in perseverance as new sources come to light.
