Spend some time with your favorite sweethearts taking advantage of all the Valentine’s Day activities in the Twin Cities – many of them FREE or low-cost. 2/4: Kids Workshop: Valentine’s Mailboxes | TC Home Depot locations, 9am-12pm • Build a wooden Valentine photo box, then personalize the project with paint. FREE.

2/11: Crafts For Kids: Circle of Love Wreath | TC Lakeshore Learning locations, 11am-3pm • Craft a homemade valentine; ages 3+. FREE.

2/11: Valentine’s Family Fun | The Landing, Shakopee, 12-3pm • $8/pp, 2 & under free • Create Victorian-era Valentines, ride a kicksled, or try snowshoeing. Tour Eagle Creek Village and build kid-sized log cabins. Reservations required by Feb 6.

2/11: Valentine’s Day Hot Metal Pour | Franconia Sculpture Park, Shafer, 12-5pm • See the website for details on pouring your own iron sculpture. Free admission, fee if creating and purchasing a sculpture.

2/14: Kids Valentine’s Fun Art Night | Rumriver Art Center, Anoka • 6-8pm • $5/child • Drop them off and sneak in a date night!

2/14: Institute of Hearts | Minneapolis Institute of Art • 10am-5pm

2/17-18: Kids at the Castle: Hearts and Hugs | American Swedish Institute, Minneapolis, 9-10am • $8/family • Before the museum opens, join ASI for visual play, storytelling, music, and movement inspired by ASI’s exhibits that will encourage creative young minds. Recommended for ages 2-5.

2/26: WOW! Family Sundays: Valentines Then, Valentines Now | Minnesota History Center, 12-3pm • $6-$12/pp, under 5 & members free • Connect old times to new through games, activities, and hands-on art projects. Aimed at ages 4+.

2/28: Valentine’s Day Kids Kraft | Scott County Historical Society, Shakopee • 10:30-11:15am • Better late than never! Stories and a valentine yarn craft. Free; registration required.
