This classification examines the extent to which institutions foster opportunities for student success by measuring whether they are enrolling students reflective of the communities they serve and how the earnings of students compare to peers in their area. Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education recognized Vaughn College as an “Opportunity College and University” for its ability to serve a higher proportion of under-resourced students and produce higher post-graduation earnings.
***New York City Economic Development Corporation, November 2024, "Academia in New York City: Shaping the Future of NYC’s Economy.”
*Outcomes include data within one year of graduation for graduates who reported via survey. There were a total of 361 reported graduates in 2023. 239 reported an outcome for a 66% response rate. The 2023 graduate class includes September 2022, December 2022 and May 2023 graduates.
