Soundtrack Time!

So, I think I have lost my mind, and I am going to attempt to create a soundtrack for Syn.

But here's the rub: I want one song for each character currently in game, so I need your input! Please let me know what song you associate with your character! If you have multiples, share those too!

If you don't know, post that below, and people can help you find things!

For the sake of making this easier to correlate, can people please put the character or characters in the subject line of the comment! One is fine for muns with multiple characters, but it makes things easier that way!

This, however, is specifically a measure of how much Naoki's grown in-game. I never could have had it on my playlist to start with.

I could actually use some help for Phillip's- I have a couple ideas that focus on different things but nothing as a whole??

Okay, I am odd in that I tend to never associate songs with my characters unless someone else makes the association first.

So, anyone have any suggestions for mine? So far all I have is 'something about carnage' for Istas and 'something about telephones' for the Angels. (No idea on Matthew. Except maybe something about cities? IDK)

Repeating a suggestion from Jill on plurk here for the Angels, no idea about the lyrics but the title and artist name alone is fitting: Electric Light Orchestra - "Telephone Line"

Staring at the Sun by the Offspring is pretty much eternally my Hal song, especially for the arc I'm playing him from here. (it's bonus funny because back in the 90s he died keeping the sun burning i'm hilarious)

Cheater options, though: someone wrote a song about Emerald Twilight (aka the "hal goes nuts and becomes a supervillain" arc from 20 years ago that fandom still has slapfights about) that I think is really good. And someone else wrote this song that's fun too.

Ke$ha - Die Young has been my Melissa song for forever but until you get to the bridge in Panic! At The Disco - The Good, The Bad, and The Dirty that fits pretty well too.

So I've got his canon image theme with "Take It a Try", and for something he doesn't sing himself, there's Hudson Taylor - "Battles."

And editing in Tom Perry - "I Won't Back Down" because I like that one a lot for him too.

So like, Kenzaki technically has a from-canon image song, but it's awful and we shouldn't use it.

I like Weeds or Wildflowers by Parsonsfield much more for the point I've taken him from!

Looking for suggestions! I've had a couple, and I have songs I associate with his individual plots and Jaunts, but I'm not sure which I like best as a whole?

I am a weird person who does not even follow any kind of music at all, much less associate it with particular characters. So I've . . . got nothing and am thus leaving the floor open.

So what we've got here is a passive intellectual detective, who is also very obsessive when he gets into things. And he's overinvested in a rival -- but not in an aggressive, teeth-gnashing kind of way. Near actually likes and admires his rival quite a bit, though the way he treats the guy is complicated.

Go Go Ninja Dinosaur was my Wash song long before this jaunt.

I'm currently a bit stuck for Jaina at her canonpoint because apparently most of my Jaina songs are me being annoyed with the BS that happened later.

I'm really not sure, somehow I don't have much music associated with him, and the music I do is mostly music for specific CR. Any thoughts?

I'm not really sure. I'll have to think about this some. In the mean time, I'll open the floor for suggestions.

As the primary antagonist of something only half-pretentiously called a Sound Novel, Beatrice has a large amount of music dedicated to her already. So since I can't pick a track from there, have some Spaghetti Western:

The Ecstasy of Gold by Ennio Morricone. Just the right mix of bleak, sad, triumphant, and "some asshole is about to get killed", in my opinion.

Meanwhile I'm going to be extremely lazy for Rise because I don't actually like pop music, but she embodies the genre:

True Story by Risette (Rie Kugimiya). Hey, she sings it.

Really, though, anything upbeat and honest about emotions works for her and I'm willing to take alternative suggestions.
