How was your weekend? Do you have children going back to school in August? I know it varies across the country. We are in the final countdown for high school as we start August 5th but my daughter has a few more weeks. Our weekend was spent celebrating our anniversary plus an unexpected twist. Thanks for joining us with the Monday Morning Wrap Up.
22 YEARS TOGETHER

We celebrated 22 years of marriage (24 years together) this past weekend. I still can’t believe it’s been that long. We have certainly seen some really hard times. Life has thrown us some major curve balls and an enormous amount of grief, but this man has been my rock through it all. Truly my best friend and no none makes me laugh harder. I always tell my kids to find the person that brings out the best in them and that accepts and loves them just the way they are.
GOLDEN HOUR

When we were out driving this weekend, the light coming through these trees was so magnificent. I just love these back roads.
A SIMPLE CELEBRATION

We enjoyed the day together followed by a lovely dinner out and back home to watch the sunset. My kind of evening.
*We splurged on these chairs seeing as they are in the elements 365 days of the year. I have to say they look like the day we bought them. Highly recommend.
WILD FLOWERS

I adore wild flowers and Ryan picked these up at the Franklin Farmers’ Market. If you are local, they are sold by the cutest couple. And they smell amazing. So pretty!!
What I didn’t expect was to wake up with my back out the next day. Whoa!!! Intense. I asked for suggestions on Instagram and you all really came to the rescue. I have been using the tens unit, slowly walking, icing, and praying. On repeat. It’s better than it was yesterday so I am taking that as a good sign.
THIS ON REPEAT

With it being peach season, I love them on a grilled chicken salad. I add arugula, cucumber, and avocado. And if you have a spot near you that has speciality balsamic vinegars, look for cinnamon pear. It’s amazing on this. I drizzle a little bit of that and EVOO. If you are local, I pick mine up at The Pantry next to Herban Market.
CAUGHT MY EYE

chandelier | vanity | rug | pillow covers
A peek at the home things I shared in this week’s Saturday Shopping. The pillow covers arrived and I’ll be sharing how they look on our bed this week.

blue and white dress | pajamas | black dress | striped outfit
Such fun finds this week. These are all so pretty. You can read the entire Saturday Shopping post here.
And now I am headed to ice my back again. Send good thoughts. Wishing you all a really great start to the week. When I am down and out like this, I like to plan things so I will be figuring out when we can get to our 30A place. I think it’s healing to have something fun to look forward to.
