Q- How a young boy turned into a passionate actor? Was it a dream or a sudden twist in your life-story’s plot?

Ans- It’s always been a dream not just to become an actor but to become a successful name in acting ! Now I look back and try to make sense, how this idea of becoming an actor comes into my veins. Was probably because of my love for Shahrukh khan Movies.  I’ve grown up watching his work. But that was not enough I guess. I remember I was very clear since childhood, that I will choose acting to become the love of my life. The only twist was this gene information I got from my relatives.India’s famous film actress “Munawara Sultana” was my first Daadi(grand mother). & Manto, Hameed wayne, Agha shorish kashmiri, Film Actor “Shaan”. They all somehow my relatives.(with whom my family is not in touch with) & my father was a painter himself . So, I guess that maybe gives me sense to see why I was too much inclined towards art  but having said that; I never take that as advantage. This is the first time I am taking these big names just for answering your question & nothing else.

Q-You have always come up with versatility. Who is your inspiration?
Ans- I haven’t done much characters  yet. So, I think it’s very early of me to think that I am an versatile actor. But off course versatility is something that triggers me to say “YES” to any particular project. My inspiration is just “Me” from 10 years of now. The “Haris Waheed” I wanna see after 10 years, is what inspire me to do what I do today and off course I love watching work of other actors like: Irfan khan, Nawazuddin Siddque,  Aamir khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Noman Ijaz, Denzial Washington etc but that is not something that inspires me. My Inspiration comes from me only!
Q-On the scale of achievement where do you find yourself?
Ans- Well,I have just began. I find myself  taking stance in a race course and haven’t run yet. I haven’t achieved anything yet. It’s true that I was part of great plays like Alvida, Udaari, Sadkay tumharay & now sammi. But in those projects my yard stick as an actor was very small. But as I said; I have just began. So, let’s see what I achieve and where I go? Ask me after 5 years .Haha!

Q-Tell us something about your role in upcoming drama -Sammi?

Ans- Project “Sammi” speaks on many different issues of our society.  One of that is Honour killing. My character is an antagonist in the track of honour killing. I can talk so many things about my characteristics in this play but I like to put it this way.  In short : I think he is brother of  Qandeel Baloch .

Q-Do you think education is important for an artist?

Ans- Yes, very very important. You can’t survive as an artist, if you are not educating yourself on daily basis and when I speak about education. I don’t mean it should be an academic qualification. An education which helps you gaining wisdom Is the only form of Education. Other than that is “skills” which you learn in most of universities, colleges & schools by paying heavy fees. No Offense ! But If you want to become an artist you have to be sensitive enough to see life through wisdom not through degree..

Q-What if you were not an actor, what profession you would like to opt ?

Ans- Than I would be a struggling actor. Period !

Q-What kind of films seek your attention?

Ans- I don’t know. I like every genre of film.Even if it’s a very bad film. I find my way to like it. I am very sensitive as audience. I feel more emotional attachment to t.v & film characters rather than actual people in life.

Q-If you ever get an offer for morning show, what will be your response?

Ans-I”ll maybe do it for making some good money. Like everyone is doing. Otherwise there is nothing educative or real happening in these shows. Its a money making medium now. NOTHING MORE.

Q-What do you think where this industry lacks?

Ans- Maybe we lack some humanity. But other than that I feel blessed. When I see myself working in best drama industry of world ! We create good content , most of our dramas are women oriented. Which is rare in world. Women’s in bollywood & Hollywood are fighting to get bigger roles in stories. And to be equally paid compared to male actors. But in Pakistan you come to know a complete different scenario. The only thing I worry sometimes is about our films. I hope Pakistani Film industry won’t shape to become Poor Cousin of bollywood. We have our own sensibilities, culture & realities to discover yet and one should know the difference. We don’t lack anywhere. We are just growing.

Q-Your message to young generation.
Ans- No message. I want to become an example. So, wait and let me be one.
