Later that day during Fletchers breakdown in his office, Miranda eavesdrops on him whilst he's addressing to Greta that he's unable to lie for a day due to Max's wish coming true. Seeing this as an opportunity for revenge, the evil scheming Miranda sets Fletcher up to ruin his career. She finally catches Fletcher off-guard during the moment that Greta quit being Fletcher's secretary, and gets him to truthfully reveal to her what he truly negatively thinks of Mr. Allen. Hyped knowing that Fletcher's negativity towards Mr. Allen is going to screw him over, Miranda brings him to the partnership committee room where a meeting is taking place with Mr. Allen and the other partnership employees that Fletcher hates. Miranda tells Mr. Allen that Fletcher would like to say what he thinks of him, which Fletcher proceeds to launch many insults in Mr. Allen's direction. However, Mr. Allen cracks up thinking that he's being roasted, which everyone in the room also starts to laugh at what Fletcher truthfully thinks of them. Whilst in the peak of the hysterical laughter in the room, Fletcher rebounds and gets another one up on Miranda by yelling 'Slut' down her ear as the room roars with even more laughter, leaving the villainess standing there humiliated not knowing what to do as Fletcher gives her one last big laugh into her ear.

Miranda is last seen during the final court hearing with high assumption that Fletcher would mess up and lose. However, Fletcher once again rebounds and turns the case round without having to lie, which Miranda can't believe it. Her final moment is standing alongside Mr. Allen in the courtroom as she watches Mr. Allen congratulate Fletcher for not only winning the Cole case, but is now a fellow partner. However, due to Fletcher's character development, Fletcher rejects Mr. Allen. Miranda and Mr. Allen then watch in confusion as Fletcher goes all honorable by making a demand to Judge Stevens to reverse the results of the Cole case, which Fletcher ends up getting arrested for contempt of court, but Greta returns and bails Fletcher out of jail when she hears that he stood up to his boss and yelled at his client (who is a terrible mother). She forgives him and realizes that telling the truth has made him a better man.
