TO MANAGE ITS NEW HEALTHY AGEING INNOVATION CENTRE LAUNCH EVENT

Innovative event ideas for an innovative new centre for the Barking & Dagenham community

December 17th 2015 – Denmark Hill, PinPoint Events announces its management of the Care City launch event to mark the opening of the new Barking based Healthy Ageing Innovation Centre. Taking place on 18th January from 4pm, Care City will throw open its doors to introduce this new centre for innovation, research and education. PinPoint Events is working closely with their client to develop innovative ways of launching the new centre which will use this introductory event to showcase its aims to meet its dual mission of delivering measurable improvements in healthy ageing for the local population and acting as a catalyst for regenerating one of London’s most deprived regions.

Helen Oliver, Care City Interim Managing Director commented: “This launch is an important milestone in health and social care activity across north East London and surrounding areas.  With the health and social care sector facing remarkable challenges as the population increases and ages, it is recognised that innovation and service redesign are essential if we are to continue to deliver world class health and social care services. We aim to establish Care City as a place where innovation is accelerated and where system partners are supported to work alongside the community to improve health outcomes.” This launch event is the first step towards building national and local awareness of the brand, the centre and our goals and it is imperative we get it right.

She continued “We selected PinPoint Events as our event management agency thanks to their huge commitment and determination to offer clients creativity, flexibility and real value for money.”

Francesca Knight, managing director, PinPoint Events commented “We are delighted to have been chosen to work with Care City on this exciting launch event and one that is so critical to the local community of Barking & Dagenham. We work hard to understand our clients and their needs in order for us to deliver unique, outstanding solutions to their event challenges and it is great to have been recognised for this.”

The launch event promises some real treats to those invited. Delegates will be the first to get a guided tour of the site and what it has to offer. Golden Voices, a singing troupe compiling of 35 members will be performing a set. Anna Dixon, chief executive, Centre for Aging Better, will present some of the key findings from their recent study, which explores the factors that make for a good later life. And a group of local innovators and SME’s will be showcasing their innovations, products and services to assist with an ageing community.
