The Moscow Eurovision Party 2017 is to be held on April 21 at the Vegas City Hall, this is the seventh year the event has been held.

The date of the 7th annual Moscow Eurovision Party has been announced today. The event will be held on April 21 at the Vegas City Hall in the Russian Capital. Details regarding the sale of tickets will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The Moscow Eurovision Party is one of just Eurovision promotional events held within Eastern Europe ahead of the competition in May. The only other promotional event held in the region is the Eurovision PreParty Riga which is being held one month before this years event.

The artists who participated in last years event were:

Armenia – Iveta Mukuchyan

Azerbaijan – Samra

Cyprus – Minus One

Belarus – IVAN

Israel – Hovi Star

Macedonia – Kaliopi

Malta – Ira Losco

Moldova – Lidia Isac

Russia – Sergey Lazarev

Spain – Barei

Switzerland – Rykka

To date five Eurovision preview events have been announced, the dates and locations are as follows:

Eurovision PreParty Riga – Riga – March 25

London Eurovision Party – London – April 2

Eurovision in Concert – Melkweg – April 8

Eurovision Spain Preview Party – Madrid – April 15

Moscow Eurovision Party – Moscow – April 21

While Spain has joined the line up of promotional events this year, there has been no information so far regarding Israel Calling and the Maltese promotional event. Both events were held for the first time in 2016.

A total of 43 countries are to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Returning to the Eurovision stage are Portugal and Romania who both took a year out from the contest. Bosnia & Herzegovina has however withdrawn from the contest due to financial difficulties at the national broadcaster, BHRT. The 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest is being held on the following dates:

Semi Final 1 – 9 May

Semi Final 2 – 11 May

Final – 13 May
