RTVE has revealed more details about the Eurocasting final which is taking place on Thursday night to select the public entrant in Spain’s Eurovision selection.

The Spanish national broadcaster has revealed details about the final of the Eurocasting round of the countries national selection for Kyiv. The final which will be held at 20:00 CET on Thursday, with the three artists performing their songs live. The winner of the selection will then be selected by the public voting, the winner will go on to take part in Objetivo Eurovisión on February 1.

Taking part in the final of Eurocasting are:

LeKlein – Ouch!

Fruela – Live it up

Javian – No somos heroes

During the final of Eurocasting, the artists who have been internally selected by RTVE to compete in the Spanish final will be revealed to the public. Furthermore during the selection there will be two performances by as yet unnamed artists.

Voting in the final of Eurocasting will be open to both those within and outside of Spain during the 15 minutes that voting is open. Viewers will be able to vote once for the act they want to see in the Spanish national final via the  Eurovisión RTVE.es App as well as on the RTVE Eurocasting website here.

Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest

Spain debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1961 and has competed annually since. Spain has won the contest on two occasions the first being in 1961 and the second time in 1969. 1969 is the only year where more than one song has won the contest, the 1969 contest saw a four-way tie between Spain, France, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Since 2000 Spain has only managed to finish in the top.10 on five occasions, the last time being in 2014 with Ruth Lorenzo. However the country has finished 20th or below on eight occasions, the worst placement being 25th in 2013.
