The beautiful marbled paper on the covers of this handmade journal remind me of colorful fish scales. They're made from marbleized paper that I made myself - each piece is one of a kind, so no other book will look like this one. Check out the up-close photo - the paper is super detailed!
The book measures 4 1/4" wide, and 5 1/2" inches tall, it's the perfect size for a backpack or purse. You can also keep it by your bedside table to write in at night. I sewed this book by hand using waxed Irish linen thread which is super tough and the unique exposed spine on this book is a special type of bookbinding called Coptic stitch, a binding allows the book to lay completely flat. The creamy pages are French's 100% recycled speckletone paper, produced with hydro electric power. The inner end pages are cool speckled handmade paper from the Philippines.
