I love natural history illustrations and I have quite a collection of images that I use in my other nautical stationery business, Concertina Press. I thought it was about time to showcase some of my favorite images on some handmade books; here we have a tiny green fish on a lime green card stock cover - the tail wraps all the way to the back.
These little books will fit in a pocket or that little zipper pocket in a purse, so you can jot down notes, phone numbers and other reminders to yourself, without having to use the back of an old receipt.
I love the look of vintage biological drawings - I collected these ones and then printed them on to heavy cardstock using a high quality art printer for the book covers. The detail is amazing!
The book contains 40 pages of high quality 100% post-consumer recycled paper made in the USA (the last photo shows the paper, but not the cover). It measures 4.25"x5.5" .
This book was hand cut, folded and bound by me using thread, and it has cute rounded corners too! On the back it says "handmade notebook by RuthBleakley.com"
