Vintage Kitschy Woodland Cuteness Mid Century Figural Fawn Planter
Circa 1950's
Oh Deer! We are such suckers when it comes to Cutesy Vintage. This gorgeous piece of woodland cuteness is in pristine condition and just gorgeous from top to bottom.
The vase planter has a very solid heavy ceramic almost the feel of earthenware and the base has a retro deco era styling. It is in a speckled speckled gradient ombre style color. The planter area is Is wide starting at 7 1/2" tapering down at the base.
The planter behind that is big enough for three succulents or a combination of other small plants. It would make a thoughtful gift, unique decoration or even function as perfect pencil holder.
It is truly unique! A great mid-century collectible.
We are not certain but we believe because of the stamp it is a McCoy Pottery Piece, it is very possible that this is Bambi from the Disney Collection, but we are not certain. These pieces were hand painted and no two are exactly alike. .
It features a lovely woodland themed base
The bottom is stamped UP-5 USA More than likely an Upco Piece

It is in PERFECT CONDITION. No signs of crazing, No chips or cracks. There are the usual glaze flaws typical from the era
