This post continues our series explaining why Ephox is the only choice for rich-text (aka WYSIWYG) content creation and editing. Our previous post explores the flexibility of our editors.

As part of Ephox’s design process, we put a lot of time and energy into reducing the obstacles between ideation and content creation. The harder we work on simplifying the content creation process, the easier it is for millions of writers to get their ideas heard.

The great user experience we consistently deliver to our customers does not happen by accident – it is the result of our company-wide commitment to building a solid, evidence-based user experience and design practice. Our UX design team, led by Anna Harrison, does a remarkable job of taking our products through this process. With a vigilant eye on industry-wide UX trends, our own research, insights, user testing and a little bit of design magic, we are able to consistently innovate and deliver quality experiences to our users worldwide.

Because the team isn’t afraid to push boundaries in feature design and research, our users get the most advanced content creation experience on the market.

Our UX team broke ground in the mobile WYSIWYG environment when we announced the release of Textbox.io 2.0, the first editor optimized for the mobile environment.

These advances are possible only through our deep commitment to understanding and anticipating the needs of our customers.

Accompanying this release, the UX team also introduced the new Textbox.io skin creator. It shipped with over a dozen pre-built themes and was also designed to complement popular apps and reflects modern, minimalist colors. Anna herself provides an in-depth look at the development behind “Themelander 3.0.”

At times, understanding the needs of our customers extends way past anything to do with traditional software development. You may wonder, for example, what buffet tables have to do with user experience design. Did you know that the same subconscious thought processes that lead a person to overeat at the buffet table make an engineer reluctant to retire obsolete features?

Talk about food for thought!

With a company-wide commitment to creating great user experiences, you can expect brave and exciting new designs filtering through to future releases of TinyMCE and Textbox.io.

Things move pretty fast so follow us Twitter or like our Facebook to stay in the know on the latest and greatest with Ephox and our editors.

Stay tuned as we continue our “Top 10 reasons why Ephox is the choice for WYSIWYG content creation” series, with Reason #4: Commercial License & Support.
