IRVINE, Calif., USA – Feb. 11, 2014 – Meggitt Sensing Systems, a Meggitt group division and leader in sensing and monitoring systems for extreme environments, has announced a significant extension of its family of Endevco® brand Isotron® accelerometers. This new line of general purpose IEPE accelerometers is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of test applications.
The Endevco® brand embodies decades of sensor design and application expertise. That legacy, combined with Meggitt’s global capabilities, has resulted in general purpose accelerometers of the highest quality plus low cost and availability needed by today’s test professionals.

The new Endevco® models 41A, 42A and 43A are general purpose, single-axis accelerometers. 10, 25, 100, 500 and 1000 mV/g sensitivities are available for the 41A and 42A, with 100, 500 and 1000 mV/g for the 43A. Amplitude response of +/-5% is 1 to 10000 Hz. These stud-mounted accelerometers have a 10-32 threaded hole, and the customer may specify a 10-32 stud, 10-32 to ¼-28 stud, 10-32 to M6 stud or 10-32 to M5 stud. Model 41A mounting bottom is a ½” hex with 10-32 top connector. Model 42A mounting bottom is ½” hex with 10-32 side connector. Model 43A has unique cube shape which allows mounting in two different orientations, with the sensitive axis parallel to the connector and 10-32 connector. Optional accessories include cables, an adhesive mounting adapter and signal conditioners.
The new Endevco® model 45A is a general purpose, high sensitivity, triaxial accelerometer in a 20-mm cube shape with 500 mV/g (±10 g range) and 1000 mV/g (±5 g range) options. Amplitude response of +/-5% is 1 to 6000 Hz for y- and z-axes, 1 to 3000 Hz for x-axis. They are also stud-mounted with a 10-32 threaded hole and customer specification of a 10-32 stud, 10-32 to ¼-28 stud, 10-32 to M6 stud or 10-32 to M5 stud. Optional accessories include cables, an adhesive mounting adapter, isolated mounting adapters and signal conditioners.
In addition to existing cables, the new Endevco® model C general purpose cable assemblies allow for user selectable cable configurations. They are specifically designed for use with single-axis and triaxial accelerometers, as well as other transducers. Users can specify the sensor side connector, cable type, instrumentation side connector and overall cable assembly length in inches.
