VP of Marketing, US

As our VP of Marketing for the US you will define and drive the marketing strategy across the US market with focus on B2B acquisitions. Working closely with global and local resources, you ensure the execution of an ambitious marketing strategy that enables us to win the US market. Key elements are Digital Marketing, Inbound/Demand/lead generation, events and PR/Media, and customer advocacy.

Reporting to the CMO, you will play a vital role in creating, implementing and executing integrated US campaigns at all stages of the sales and marketing funnel, working closely with the Cxense sales and global marketing teams to support their key business needs. You will drive awareness and demand, provide the sales tools, campaigns, events, and targeting assistance needed to help the Cxense US sales team prospect effectively and accelerate their pipeline.

The right candidate thrives on the metrics and processes of B2B marketing. You must have a solid understanding of how to optimize digital marketing programs spend, test and optimize lead nurturing programs, manage some aspects of marketing operations, develop marketing campaigns and measure leads to closed opportunities.

Success will be measured by conversion to opportunity with the goal of driving new customer acquisition, as well as existing customer cross-sell/up-sell.

Your role and responsibilities

Build and execute a scalable model to drive mass prospect acquisition

Establish quarterly marketing lead generation and opportunity creation targets with sales and deliver marketing qualified leads per agreed upon targets

Proactively identify, develop and drive longer-term marketing and communications strategies and initiatives that will result in increased visibility and profitable growth

Develop strategies for inbound and outbound campaigns including tactics such as webinars, content syndication, list rentals, social media, SEM/Remarketing etc., to build lead database and increase qualified opportunity creation

Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that build pipeline and mature existing opportunities; this includes strategy, creative direction, campaign objectives, and validation

Manage, track, report and present programs budgets by channel – campaign costs, performance, and ROI through the demand generation lifecycle

Selecting and managing local events targeting the marketing, publishing and editorial buyers.  Events should optimize branding opportunities as well as generating marketing qualified leads for local sales teams

Fostering and leveraging customer advocacy as part of marketing campaigns and events

Working with global marketing and sales and/or agencies in the execution of marketing plans

Develop measure and refine email and progressive nurturing campaigns with marketing automation

Manage marketing metrics and ROI analysis; work with cross functional teams to manage and present monthly, quarterly and annual metrics on marketing revenue performance management

Manage US agencies including PR, content and paid search

Travel to Europe and HQ in Oslo, Norway, required

Your profile

Between 5-10 years of proven marketing experience in progressively senior roles

Solid background with successful global inbound and outbound demand generation program creation, execution, measurement, analysis and reporting across channels, products and verticals

Solid experience in modern digital marketing; Opt-in Inbound marketing and community management

Must have experience in dealing with both SMB and Enterprise B2B acquisition

Previous experience with marketing web technology platforms and solutions

Previous experience in marketing SaaS/Software companies

Demonstrable success in creating, executing and measuring integrated marketing campaigns across channels with a track record of success achieving KPIs in the high tech B2B space

Previous experience managing multichannel marketing budgets and processes

Superior written and verbal communication skills

Knowledgeable of CRM and Marketing Automation platforms such as Salesforce and Hubspot

Creative, resourceful, and out-of-the-box thinker
