Brighton area Word Camp is known as WordCamp Brighton is a conference which is conducted in the Brighton to celebrate the power of WordPress community. This year WordCamp Brighton is being conducted in the City College Brighton. The camp will commence on July 23rd and will end on July 24th. This informal symposium organised by WordPress users. This event is a great opportunity for everyone to learn, share knowledge and celebrate WordPress together.

Schedule:

Day 1 – 23rd July 2016 – Saturday

The day will begin with the Registration and welcome session. In this session, campers will get an information about the camp. Along with this, they will meet with all the speakers and presenters.

In the next session, Tamsin Urquhart will share her experience based story using the literary concept of ‘the hero’s journey’. She will tell the situation when they fall flat on their face, whether at work or in their personal life. Along with this, the speaker will share with campers that how Abysmal’ circumstances can lead to greater success, bigger dreams, better relationships and a stronger sense of self.

Next to this, Tim Nash will Use real examples of exploits reported in themes and plugins and discuss the various steps campers can take to improve the security of your WordPress site. This session basically targets developers and theme designer. Tim will discuss some common mistakes and the ways to avoid them. Along with this, he will cover the smart tips to keep the site nice and safe.

Post short break, James Morrison will host a session basically for beginners, intermediates and advanced. In his session, the speaker will discuss Multisite and what they’re good for and what they’re not good for. Along with this, the speaker will talk about sub-domain vs sub-folders and domain mapping.

The next session will be the Lightning Talk session conducted by different speakers. Here’s the timeline of the Lightning Talk schedule:

Diane Wallace will conduct a session dedicated to CSS. She will throw light on “toolbox” of tried and tested techniques that people use again and again while developing. Along with this, the speaker will show other simpler ways.

Next to this, Mik Scarlet will take campers behind the current drives to create an accessible society. He will explain the theories behind the subject of accessibility, explore the legal responsibilities around access and inclusive design.

In the next session, Martine Warburton will show campers that how developers and designers work together on a daily basis to bring custom WordPress builds to life. Along with this, the speaker will share her own experience of the good, the bad and the ugly to outline some ways that designers and developers can adapt their workflows to work more effectively together.

Post lunch break there is another round of Lightning Session:

Ross Wintle will talk about creativity. Along with this, the speaker will share some tips and tricks to enhance the creativity.

In the next session by Barbara Saul, campers will explore the different ways to keep their clients happy and satisfied. She will highlight some tools and basic easy ideas to make the clients happy and satisfied. Along with this, the speaker will tell campers that what to do with unhappy clients to make them happy.

Next to this, Tom Greenwood will reflect the art of working on WordPress Platform. He will show the numerous benefits of WordPress that enable the various organisation to access the best talent without geographic constraints and allowing individuals to balance their work and personal lives in ways that are not possible in a conventional office environment.

Post short break, Lana Burgess talk session will explore why audience-led content performs better. She will give the practical advice on how to create content that builds a relationship with the community of users.

In the next session, David Hilditch will talk about the level of performance is going to change the marketplace, making it possible and easy for store owners to massively expand their inventory particularly through drop-shipping and affiliated products.

Next to this, Sarah Semark will discuss the various merits of following or bucking trends. Along with this, the speaker will offer some constructive advice to help you – whether you’re a designer or not – add an individual touch to your design work.

The Day 1 will end with Closing Remarks. Followed by this will be an After Party Session held at Synergy Centre, 78 West St, 7 Middle St Brighton, BN1 2RA.

Day 2 – 24th July 2016 – Sunday

Contribution Day

The day will open at 9:00 AM with the Registration session. Campers will be served with the coffee. Campers will get an introduction of the agenda for the day.

A Sprint will begin at 10:00 AM in the morning and continue till 4:30 PM. The Day will end with the conclusion of contribution day and closing remarks.
