With the return of self-service buffet lines, many restaurants have gotten back into the swing of things, offering the full scope of their feasts for the first time in ages. If you’re looking to make your grand return to buffets, but aren’t sure which place has the right spread for the occasion, then this is the list for you!

We’ll introduce you to the best buffets in Singapore, with a mix of hotel buffets and unorthodox picks. These are separated into three price points, so you can find the ideal buffet for your budget.

Do note that we’ve left out Japanese, Korean BBQ and dim sum buffets, as we have covered them extensively before.

1. TungLok Seafood

While seafood buffets are usually the domain of lavish hotel restaurants, the affordably priced spread at TungLok Seafood is a great option if you’re not looking to break the bank.

Their a la carte Seafood Lunch Buffet starts from $43.80++, and offers delicacies including salmon sashimi, jellyfish with pomelo sauce, and deep-fried sea bass with soya sauce. There’s also free-flow dim sum and some mouthwatering Chilli Crab, limited to one serving per table.

The seafood buffets are only available at the Orchard Central and Paya Lebar Quarter Mall outlets.

2. Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant

Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant is known for their authentic and wide-ranging Indonesian fare, which makes their $38++ and $42++ buffet lunch and dinner respectively look like an absolute steal.

You’ll get to feast on dishes such as Rendang Daging Sapi and Sayur Lodeh, all of which feature the rich aromas and flavours of the Southeast Asian country. Be sure to get the Peha Kaki Kambing (roasted lamb leg) as well—this signature dish is said to be irresistibly succulent.

One of the more unique picks on this list, Crystal Cafe’s Taiwan Porridge Buffet (from $18.80++) is perfect for those looking for a diverse range of dishes to go along with their gruel.

The braised items are all superb: whether it be pig trotters or pork belly, their robust braising and savouriness make them perfect porridge companions. There’s also a decent selection of fresh seafood dishes, including dory fish and prawns.

4. A.K Zai Lok Lok

If a dozen or so lok lok skewers is not enough for you, then head on down to a lok lok buffet such as A.K Zai Lok Lok. For $19.90+ per person, you get to binge on 40 types of lok lok, which can either be enjoyed fried or boiled. An additional $10 is required to boil your skewers in one of the following soup bases: tom yum, curry, mala, laksa, and pork broth.

For just $32++, you can get to enjoy a wide assortment of their signature Peranakan fare, including fried kway teow, beef rendang, sambal prawns and more! In addition, they even have a live station for laksa and meatball noodle soup! Imagine indulging in all the seafood you could possibly want while taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the sea. That’s exactly the experience you’ll get at Offshore Bar & Grill.

Prices start from $69++ per person, which entitles you to a whole seabass and various seasonal seafoods for you to barbecue. An additional $29.90++ or $19.90++ would get give you a whole Boston lobster and mud crab, both of which weigh in at are 500g.

Located at Shangri-La Hotel, The Lime Restaurant features an extensive international buffet menu, with close to 100 different types of dishes from all around the world. Some of their highlights include the cold seafood counter, which stars snow crab, black mussels, white clams and more. They are also popular for their Peranakan spread and hawker noodle specialties, such as Singapore Laksa and British Hainan Beef Noodles. On top of their delectable mains, their pastries and desserts are well-loved by diners, with indulgent treats like Durian Cake and Matcha Yuzu Opera that are hard to resist.

Carousel Restaurant at Royal Plaza is well known for their Mediterranean and Asian dishes, all of which are prepared in halal-certified kitchens. With their lavish spread of international food, it’s no surprise that they were awarded the Best Buffet Restaurant in Singapore at AsiaOne People’s Choice Awards for seven consecutive years.

For Japanese delights, you can try their teppanyaki specials, or go for their Japanese Cold Noodles, which stars Japanese green tea noodles served with house-made soba sauce. For a taste of Mediterranean cuisine, the Duck Breast is an excellent option, drizzled with tangy pomegranate sauce, and accompanied with creamy potato mousseline on the side.

Indulge in their Slow-cooked Beef Brisket With Red Wine Jus, or have their specialty Tandoori. Their seafood options are excellent too, with seasonal oysters, Boston lobster, tiger prawns and more.
