Among The Sleep is a horror adventure video game developed and published by Krillbite Studios and distributed by Steam and PlayStation Store. It is available on PC, Mac, Linux and the next-gen console PlayStation 4. Once you download and start playing it, you will become a defenseless two-year-old toddler whose mother has strangely disappeared and whose only company is a talking teddy-bear called Teddy. You will control him with a first-person perspective so everything you see will be taller than you are. This fact is something you have to take into account when playing; you are a little boy, so nothing is designed for you to use it.
The strongest points of this game are the graphics. Everything has been carefully designed with the Unity Engine, providing an environment with a creepy, but fantastic atmosphere that may seem like it's sprouted from the mind of Tim Burton. You will visit several fantastic worlds that are the most unfriendly places that you can imagine for a child; a deserted playground at night, a dark and mysterious forest, a hideous swamp, etc. Everything has the dreadful presence of an unknown entity that causes noises and sounds and that will make you panic if you see it...or her.
Another important feature, and the one that makes this adventure really scary is the soundtrack. The people from Krillbite have worked a lot to create an ambience that will put you in a state of tension. Every sound can make you jump, either the noises of the crunching wood, the wind blowing through the window, the doors opening slowly, etc. Moreover, when you hear a breath or some steps, it's better if you hide yourself and hug your Teddy.
Gameplay
In regards to gameplay, it is a bit difficult to get used to the controls, but once you are aware of your height as a toddler, everything becomes easier. You have two different options to move; you can walk upright and be slow and quiet, or you can crawl and be faster but noisy. The first steps in your home will serve as a tutorial for the rest of the game. You will have to use all your brains to solve the puzzles and figure out how to open doors, escape the cradle, etc. The more you learn to move correctly, the better it will be for your future experience in the dark worlds.

The story begins in the day of your second birthday; your mother leaves you in the cradle and when you wake up you see how an invisible presence kidnaps your little bear. You go after your friends to find him inside the washing machine. Luckily, you help him go out and together, you undertake a journey to find your mother. Soon, you will notice that your mother is not at home, and Teddy tells you that you need to find our happy memories about your mother to find her. This way, you will enter into fantastic worlds to find those memories.
In order to find them, you will have to solve a puzzle that gives you access to other zones in the horror worlds. And remember, you are a baby, and a simple fence can seem like a mountain to you. If you feel scared, you can hug Teddy, and he will act as a Glowworm toy. He will light the place you are, allowing you to see things and items that otherwise, are in the dark.
