Hello divas! I hope that you have had a fantastic week so far. I have been preparing for my upcoming half marathon so it hasn’t been too bad around here.
One of my goals for this summer is to get more organized when it comes to my fitness. I tend to wing it when it comes to my schedule and that doesn’t always mean I get my workouts in. And not only do I struggle with time management, but when I am on the go from work to teaching group fitness, I sometimes forget important items that I need as well.
I am so thrilled to be working with The Coca-Cola Company and smartwater® to share my DIY fitness survival kit and how it helps me stay on track.
Between my full-time job, teaching group fitness twice a week and working in my running training, it can be difficult to find time to do things like strength training and yoga which my body needs to balance all the cardio. Not to mention, I am on the go so often that sometimes I forget important items that I need to get my workouts done. This is why I usually keep a DIY fitness survival kit ready to go when I walk out the door. And one of the most important things I put in my kit is my smartwater.
Hydration is so important when it comes to getting fit. It helps fuel your muscles and keeps your body functioning efficiently before, during and after a sweat session. And smartwater is my go-to option for staying hydrated. It is vapor distilled for a pure & crisp taste and hydration you can filled. It also has electrolytes added for taste which your body needs to replenish as you workout. Whether you are going on a hike or heading to the gym, smartwater is the perfect way to stay hydrated this spring and summer.
So to begin putting together my DIY Fitness Survival Kit, I headed to my local Target to pick up 6 pack of smartwater. You can find it on a special Spring Display in store that features smartwater, in the seasonal section for Spring (usually in the back for the store), or simply on the water aisle.
After purchasing my smartwater, I went home and began packing my kit. I began with clothes to wear to workout. Now I like to look cute even when I sweat so I am usually in colorful tanks and capris for my group fitness, cross training or yoga workouts and tanks and skirts when I run.
Next, I gathered the shoes I would need and my toiletry essentials bag. I like to keep it simple because there is not always a place or a chance to shower. So my bag will contain items like deodorant, body spray, a brush, some dry shampoo and a small wash rag to try to leave feeling and looking as fresh as I can.
Finally, I neatly packed them into the bag I would carry with me to work so that I am ready for my workouts later in the evening. Once work is done for the day, I am ready for my group fitness class or any other workout I decide to do.
