I paused before I hit the “publish” button on this one, because my conclusion was a bit of a shocker. Here at DietSpotlight, we wrote a comprehensive review on Hydroxycut Ultra, scrutinizing the ingredients, side effects, clinical research and level of customer-service quality. We additionally read various user comments and remarks from all over the web. Finally, we summed up all of the facts and feedback we found in order to give you the bottom line.
What is Hydroxycut Ultra?
To begin with, Hydroxycut Ultra is touted as an “ultra advanced powerful weight-loss formula” for men and women. It’s supposed to provide clean energy, while helping you shed unwanted pounds of fat. The ingredients are cayenne pepper, guava fruit, riboflavin, avocado oil, mango pulp, coconut water, b vitamins, raspberry ketone, thiamin, robusta coffee extract (contains 100 milligrams of caffeine), vitamin d and red mango fruit (garcinia indica). You’ll take two capsules, 30-60 minutes prior to your two largest meals of the day. It should be used for at least 60 consecutive days. A healthy diet and exercise program is also encouraged.
Hydroxycut Ultra is brand new for 2016 and is made by Iovate Health Sciences. It can be purchased directly from the official website, as well as through Amazon. It claims to be free of stimulants and it contains some natural ingredients, but read on…
Hydroxycut Ultra Ingredients – “Nothing But a Fad?”
The first concern we have is the Hydroxycut Ultra ingredients. “This diet supplement contains key plant extracts such as raspberry ketone and robusta coffee (green coffee extract). Neither of which are supported by solid clinical research when it comes to weight-loss,” says our Research Editor.
According to WebMD, “It is important to keep in mind that there is no reliable scientific evidence that raspberry ketone improves weight-loss when taken by people.”
On the other hand, “Some research has shown that raspberry ketone can impact adiponectin hormone levels in mice, which may assist with lipolysis and fatty acid oxidation,” reports PubMed.gov.
Moreover, a study from NCBI states that, “Green coffee extract may help reduce blood pressure and provide heart-healthy polyphenols.”
Lack of Research – “Uh Oh”
Another issue is lack of solid science. Even though there is a study mentioned on the official website for the Hydroxycut Ultra, it actually concerns only one ingredient. This study does not pertain to the diet supplement itself. It essentially says that robusta coffee can help you shed an average of 10.95 pounds in 60 days. Note that it must be taken in conjunction with a calorie-reduced diet and regular exercise. The diet and exercise alone could be causing the weight reduction. For instance, WebMD revealed that, “Green coffee extract may aid with weight-loss, but further study is needed.”
Then again, Hydroxycut Ultra also contains some caffeine. According to the Mayo Clinic, “Caffeine may stimulate thermogenesis. It may reduce your desire to eat for a brief time as well.”
Also, a PubMed.gov study shows that “Caffeine intake is related to successful weight-loss maintenance.” Therefore it may help you keep the pounds off.
Our extensive research has shown if there is some particular aspect of a diet product or weight-loss pill that is especially bothersome of concerning (fad supplement ingredients, lack of science, high price) the probability of long-term success is rather low. If Hydroxycut Ultra lacks key components that are backed by solid clinical research, this could be a serious issue.
The Science – “Is It Solid?”
Well, there is one clinical study mentioned on the company website for Hydroxycut Ultra capsules. It is based on robusta coffee extract. However, there is no elaboration on most of the ingredients found in this diet product. Moreover, there is contradicting research posted online. Therefore we at DietSpotlight cannot get behind this weight-loss formula.
The Bottom Line – Does Hydroxycut Ultra Work?
Our Hydroxycut Ultra review focused on the facts, so here’s the bottom line. We appreciate that that it contains a few natural herbs and fruit extracts. And there’s no mention of Hydroxycut Ultra side effects. But, we have some reservations about this product because it relies on some fad ingredients that are not backed by actual science. We’er also concerned about this one because there are no studies showing it promotes weight-loss.
If you really want to shed some pounds, then we suggest you go with a product that contains clinically-tested ingredients for weight-loss, is backed by solid science and supported by positive customer comments.
Among the best products we’ve seen in 2016 is one called Leptigen. The formula contains four clinically-tested ingredients, which have been shown to help ignite fat loss and spark metabolism. We have not seen any discouraging user feedback. Moreover, customer comments on the web show people are seeing solid results.
The makers of Leptigen are so confident in their product they’re offering a Special Trial Offer, which is very encouraging.
