2017 UA Grand Slam Kickoff

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- The University of Alabama baseball team hosted the 2017 Grand Slam Student Kickoff, and students were able to tour the facilities of the renovated Sewell-Thomas Stadium, which included the indoor batting cages, team meeting room, the Home Plate Club, and the team locker room. Students also competed in a home run derby. Pictured are five graphics explaining the historic numbers of Alabama baseball athletics. In the history of the program, the Tide has produced seven SEC Tourney MVPs, 86 First Team All-SEC selections, 42 All-American selections, and appeared in the College World Series five times (Photo by Derrico’ Carr)

TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- During the University of Alabama baseball team’s 2017 Grand Slam Student Kickoff, students were able to tour the facilities of the renovated Sewell-Thomas Stadium, which included the indoor batting cages, team meeting room, the Home Plate Club, and the team locker room. Inside the locker room, each player has a cubby and code access safe. One special aspect of the room is that the catchers all have lockers together and in areas in proximity to other players, something they did not have previously. (Photo by Derrico’ Carr)
