CUGH members are invited to join the Trainee Advisory Committee (TAC) subcommittee of the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH). CUGH-TAC is composed of 25 trainees in global health who advocate for and contribute student perspectives to the workings of the CUGH. In doing so, we aim to advance CUGH’s mission “to improve the well-being of people and the planet through education, research, service, and advocacy.”

Eligibility requirements include:

● Being a student or trainee (on site/online) pursuing a degree and registered at a university, graduating in 2023 or later

● Having an interest in and commitment to global health

● Submitting a complete application (details below)

● Being a member of CUGH (individual or institutional)

● Available to engage in TAC activities 2-3 hours per week

The responsibilities of TAC membership include:

● Leading and/or participating in internal projects and committees within TAC

● Provide student representation on external CUGH committees

● Attend and facilitate student/trainee-focused sessions at the annual CUGH conference

● Represent TAC-CUGH when attending student/trainee-focused conferences globally

TAC membership is two years (2021-2023 TAC cohort).

We are seeking to build a ​diverse​ ​& inclusive​ group of individuals who are ​motivated, creative, passionate, ​and ​committed ​to the workings of TAC and CUGH as a whole. We require that students actively participate in organizational projects, offer new ideas and perspectives, and contribute to the achievement of CUGH’s mission and goals.

Candidates will be selected based on experiences that align with the mission of CUGH, expressed commitment towards CUGH-TAC, and interest and experience in global health and organizational management. We aim to maximize diversity in our representation and welcome applicants from a broad range of specialties (medical and non-medical), sexual orientations, races, religions, genders, abilities, and geographic locations.
