So I had worked for this Client '**Edited for Community Guidelines**' for the past one month who had posted a Job for a Freight Forwarding Service. He was supposed to make me a payment via Upwork as per our contract on May 13th. But when he failed to do so and also not replying to mails, I found something fishy and googled about the Client.
I was shocked to find that the person under the name **Edited for Community Guidelines** was a fraud and I was under a big scam and also one of the few victims who came to know about him only a few days back.
I reported to Police here in Germany and I am also attaching a copy of Police Report (In German) for your reference. I also have a hearing after two weeks.
The job for me was to forward a few packages from German local store to countries like Russia, Poland etc. This involved some electronic goods worth thousands of Euros by ordering items with stolen credit cards.
I would also like to add that I had a contract in place with this person, I requested for a Skype conversation, he refused at the last min saying his id was not working etc. And he send me a copy of his passport (which is ofcourse fake and I then realised we dont even know the real name).
Any of you faced same issues like this? Please give me your valuable inputs.
