(edited - my first run at this was much, MUCH angrier sounding - but don't be fooled - this still gets my goat)

This is unbelievably frustrating NetGear... your accounts system is a complete mess

I have a NAS, and a ReadyCloud account. I use the ReadyCloud interface to share a volume with someone:

1. Click the volume

2. Click the icon to add a user

3. Select "Full folder access"

4. Click "next"

5. Enter an email in the "invite someone by email" box

6. Click "invite"

7. The other person gets an invite emailed (copied to me)

8. The other person clicks it, and is shown a ReadyCloud "sign in with a MyNETGEAR account" page.

9. The other person does not have such an account, so selects "Create Account"

10. The other person is now shown a "Create MyNETGEAR account" page, which is duly completed

11. The other person creates said account, and now tries to login with the original invite link

12. Now the page says "Your MyNETGEAR account is not linked with a ReadyCLOUD account. If you have a ReadyCLOUD account you should link it to your MyNETGEAR account before continuing. You will not be able to link accounts after confirming the invitation." It then asks for ReadyCloud credentials (that DON'T EXIST) and gives completely useless options of "Bind and Confirm" (obviously won't work), "Confirm without Binding" (again, they don't HAVE A READYCLOUD ACCOUNT - and this button also causes a "string out of range error"), or "Cancel" (which is not what we are wanting to do).

Could NETGEARĀ make it any more complicated??? What the hell?
