I've had an ongoing issue with broadband disconnecting when we receive a landline call to the house. I was told that this might be wireless equipment interfering with the home hub 4. I changed cordless phone for a modern dect cordless phone, the same issue with broadband dropping on incoming calls persists. I have a single line into the house to a new BT fitted faceplate (inc filter) and no extension sockets. We have had extensive testing done by several BT engineers over the last year or so, I've even had private telecoms engineers look at my installation, they confirmed that there is no issue internally though the cable used for the line into the property is not external grade but is internal grade. I am 99.99% certain that this problem us due to a faulty installation / connection / resistance on the line between my faceplate and the exchange, how do I get this resolved? I'm sure I need the line replacing though BT are understandably not going to do that for a single customer. My only other option if I want to use broadband would be to do away with the landline, this is not viable as I work away and need to be able to contact my wife and son. Has anybody any ideas on what I should do?
