The reason this plant-based ice cream is called "Wink," is possibly that their signature winking pig is saying, "OK, we know you want to pig out on ice cream. But for whatever reason -- you're watching your weight, you've gone dairy-free, you're a hard-core vegan, you're afraid about trace nuts triggering your lethal allergy -- you stay away from the creamy, cold stuff. Even though it's exactly what you want, and we know."

The twenty-something who invented Wink understands your dilemma. That's why he created an ice cream with a pea protein base that is completely free of animal products, fat, sugar, gluten, soy and nuts.

Wink was a life-long dream of Gabe Wolff, who found out that he had Celiac's disease (or gluten intolerance) and a dairy allergy, at the age of 17.

Wolff was already using pea protein in his morning shakes, but it had a bit of an odd taste. On a whim, he added some natural flavoring, and tossed it into an ice cream machine. From there, he worked to create an ice cream that everyone, no matter what allergies or dietary restrictions, could enjoy, adding other exotic ingredients like Monk Fruit and Stevia over time.
