Hi there.

I feel like when I post here it always needs to begin with an apology for my absence. This time, I just want to say, hey, and give an update on what I’ve been up to and how I am.

Autoimmune crap continues to kick my ass, but I am rolling with the ups and downs and keeping busy creating.

Last year I began writing a memoir about my foster sister, a girl I had thought was my real sister until I was six and was told she’d been killed. You can learn more about that here.

I also wrote a children’s book promoting child literacy and embracing new technology. The project includes a physical children’s book series, merchandise, and NFTs. You can check it out here.

I am still making and selling my art, including on the blockchain. If you’re interested. You can find that here.

I’ve learned how to play the guitar and the ukulele. On my good days, If I’m not making art or writing, I’m making music.

I am trying to absorb as many of the sounds of the things I love, like laughter, the sound of my kids and grandkids, and music. My hearing in my one, “good” ear is getting worse.

Because of the books, I have had to reenter the social media realm. Something I had previously, mostly walked away from for my own wellbeing. It’s kind of a lot to deal with, but I’m managing for now. Worth noting, I am locked out of both my original Facebook and YouTube accts.

Oregon is still home. My cat, Bootsie Collins, talks at me all day. So much so, that I gave her her own weekly column on my Substack. Speaking of Substack, that is where I spend most of my online time. The platform is great. I can publish and podcast (and I do) and a bunch of other things easily, in one place.

I like it.

Anyhow, life just keeps on passing by, doesn’t it?

I hope you are all well. I wish you a year sprinkled with stardust. Happy New Year.
