The Program
Academic summer program held in Zagreb and the coastal town of Sibenik. Open to all students worldwide, minimum age is 17 yrs. Low cost, high quality program. Earn 6 ECTS / 3 U.S. credits per course. Students can enroll in 1 – 2 courses, thus earning 12 ECTS / 6 U.S. credits for 2 courses. Courses are taught in English by Faculty there at Algebra University College. Active social program, cultural activities, and field trips in both Zagreb and Sibenik are provided. Low cost housing available in nearby student hostel’s that are modern and located in the heart of Zagreb and Sibenik. For 3 weeks, usually in July, experience the historical heritage of Zagreb and beautiful coastal town of Sibenik. Study with peers from around the world, making international friendships and memories of a lifetime. Early registration advised !
Location
Croatia is considered one of the safest countries in the world. A small country, birthplace of Marco Polo, and home to some of the world’s greatest technological innovators. City of Zagreb is one of the oldest European cities, and serves as the economic, diplomatic and cultural center of Croatia. It is a city of science and culture, with 50 museums and galleries, 20 theatres and music venues. Walking down the streets of Zagreb, you can admire the architecture which mostly dates back to the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The city of Sibenik is a historic town along the Adriatic Coast. Smaller than Zadar or Split, Sibenik is a gem to be seen and experience it’s ancient city walls, steep and narrow cobbled streets, picturesque views, and the crystal clear sea. The Cathedral of St. James in Sibenik is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage, and the only one in Europe constructed only of stone.

Students receive transcript certificate upon completing the course(s).
Housing
Housing is not included in the price. All students book their own housing for this program, using the housing web-Links provided with the Admission Docs. Students usually stay in the recommended student type Hostels, centrally located in Zagreb and Sibenik (will be listed in your admission docs. Cost is usually between 400 – 500 Euros ($500 – $650 USD estimate). Meals are obtained in student cafeterias, cafes, and nearby delis or diners. Budget approx $100 USD per week for meals.
Can arrange other housing if you prefer. Take a look at the “Other Housing Options” web-Links posted at the bottom of the Croatia Homepage (CSA website). Review for your info, but best not to book until after receiving admission docs.
