Anil Kapoor was born on 24 December 1959 in Mumbai, in a Punjabi family. His parents are Nirmal Kapoor and the film producer Surinder Kapoor. Anil Kapoor has three siblings, being the second child in Kapoor family.

Anil Kapoor is an Indian film producer and actor with many Hindi-language films apparitions. Two of his brothers are also having the profession in this area, Boney Kapoor, the elder brother, is a film producer and Sanjay Kapoor is an actor.
Anil Kapoor has a career of more than 40 years. Anil’s debut was in 1971 when he was 12 years old in “Tu Payal Mein Geet” but the film hasn’t been release. In 1979, Anil Kapoor appeared in his first film “Hamare Tumhare”, playing a small role.
Next year, in 1980, he played a lead role in “Vamsa Vruksham”, a Telugu film, and appeared in two more Hindi films “Ek Baar Kaho” and “Hum Paanch”. In the Hindi films, Anil debuted as a lead actor in 1983 in the film “Woh Saat Din”. Anil Kapoor’s first award was won in 1984 with the role from “Mashaal”. “Mashaal” film brought to Anil also the Bollywood recognition. In 1987, Anil played in “Mr. India”, a film that became a big box-office hit of the year and brought to Anil the superstar status.
Other successful films of Anil Kapoor were : Ghar Ho To Aisa (1990), Beta (1992) – he received the Filmfare Best Actor Award for his performance in this film, Deewana Mastana (1997), Biwi No.1 (1999) and Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain (1999) – all of them being box-office hits, Bulandi (2000) , Armaan (2002).
Starting with 2008, Anil Kapoor played in English language films and the first ones were “Slumdog Millionaire” and
“Yuvvraaj”. “Slumdog Millionaire” was a success and received many international awards.
In 2010, Anil Kapoor debuted in television in the eighteen series of “24”. Other TV apparition was in “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” released in December 2011.
