Legion of Educators is run by the Cartoon Art Museum as a quarterly meeting professional development group and resource hub for those involved in teaching with comics in the classroom and teaching comics creation.
The Cartoon Art Museum’s mission is to ignite imaginations and foster the next generation of visual storytellers by celebrating the history of cartoon art, its role in society and its universal appeal. Elevating the form by exposing cartoon art’s usefulness in education is a part of keeping the form thriving for successive generations so that it can continue to contribute to society as a means of effective communication. The Legion of Educators will be the embodiment of this goal.
