An exciting opportunity has arisen to join East Midlands Trains as a Revenue Management Analyst within the East Midlands Trains Commercial team. The Revenue Management Analyst will work to maximise income and yield by applying revenue management techniques and strategies. The Revenue Management Analyst will provide support to the Revenue Management Team with revenue and volume analysis and research.

The Revenue Management Analyst will utilise research and analysis alongside events calendar planning to set ticket pricing and allocation based on demand. There will be opportunity to develop innovative strategies for optimal product availability for all trains and to work with the wider business to ensure the Revenue Management team contributes to the customer experience focus of East Midlands Trains.

The Revenue Management Analyst will:

• Assume day to day responsibility and authority for revenue management control for all trains, remaining mindful of passenger loadings and customer experience impact

• Generate reports from the Revenue Management System and perform data analysis on past performance to proactively innovate new trends

• Develop and apply influences to the Revenue Management System to ensure forecasts and recommendations are in line with product availability strategies

• Identify and report on competitors pricing and product availability

• Develop expertise and demand profiles for each product to determine the appropriate time to make revenue management controls

• Support the Pricing Manager and Reservations Controller at peak periods, including events and engineering

• Interface with Group Travel to drive demand where spare capacity exists

You will be an innovative individual with the desire to develop revenue management strategies while maintaining focus upon customer experience. You will have a strong understanding of revenue management principles, and excellent IT skills, with particular knowledge of Excel. You will have the ability to build knowledge of East Midlands Trains products, market segmentation, and travel demand. Experience within an industry centred around customer demand would be highly beneficial for this role but is not essential.
