Today’s gift guide guide is inspired by mom. Only, instead of doing a typical mom gift guide – bathrobes and bubble bath galore – I thought it’d be much, much better to do a ‘cool mom’ gift guide. I’ve rounded up some of my favourite gift ideas in Canada for mom – and you can check them all out below!

If mom’s not big on gifts, you can still treat her to something sweet, like this fun and cozy blanket. Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty – $34.99
Women’s lit author Liane Moriarty – she of The Husband’s Secret and Big Little Lies fame – has quickly established herself as one of those authors you want to pick up every new release that’s out. Once again, she weaves another spellbinding family drama, with the tension practically crackling off the page. The story is set over the course of one afternoon, where three couples seem to be enjoying a pleasant BBQ party together. Only, there appears to be a disaster that links this group of people together, one that’s just bubbling under the surface. The story isn’t so much a whodunnit? but a whatdunnit / howdunnit / whendunnit. Rest assured, all will be revealed, but Moriarty spends three quarters of the book twisting the screws until you can barely stand it! A must-read for any mom.
