Malaysia will once again play host to the Global Transformation Forum (GTF). The last instalment in 2015 saw the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Lewis, Lord Sebastian Coe, former Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme and Prime Minister of New Zealand Helen Clark, six-time winner of FIFA’s ‘Best Referee of the Year’ Pierluigi Collina, and Starbucks co-founder Zev Siegl, among others, taking centre stage at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) to share their perspectives on transformation.
GTF is the world’s singular platform for influential, global leaders to engage and share experiences and best practices on how to drive transformation. At the forum, prominent speakers share how they’ve overcome adversity by setting seemingly impossible targets, having a clear endgame and instilling the discipline of action.
This year, under the theme ‘Driving Transformation’, the GTF 2017 will once again be bringing together global leaders, senior policymakers, captains of industry, sporting icons and members of civil society, to engage and share insights on how to drive transformation.
Notable icons speaking at the GTF 2017 include Olympic sprinting champion Usain Bolt, founder of Virgin Group Sir Richard Branson, founder and executive chairman of Alibaba Group Jack Ma, entrepreneur and author of The Pursuit of Happyness Chris Gardner, and winner of 13 Formula One Grand Prix David Coulthard, just to name a few.
Organised by the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU), the GTF is the world’s only platform in sharing and discussing transformative action and experiences at three distinct levels: for governments, businesses and individuals. The Forum will also allow attendees to gain first-hand knowledge from some of the world’s most influential leaders and icons.
The GTF 2015 saw over 3,000 delegates from 76 countries giving the speakers an average approval rating of 92 per cent.
“Our increasingly borderless world demands that change be effected to transform lives, societies, economies, and even in the pursuit of ‘happyness’. The components of transformation include an ever-increasing array of disciplines – from target-setting and the discipline of hitting these targeted marks to the endless possibilities of innovation afforded by the sheer will to transform and succeed. These secrets will be shared by our guest speakers who have been there and done that.”
“Each and every one of our celebrated speakers are drivers of transformation,” said Dato’ Sri Idris Jala, Chief Executive Officer of PEMANDU.
The event will once again be held at the KLCC between 22 – 23 March. The GTF 2017 will also feature a transformation-themed exhibition centre, exclusive sessions with Chris Gardner and Usain Bolt as well as entertainment by British rock group, The Dire Straits Experience.
